As an extra Holiday treat, I also recolored the Lincoln Sideburns (both regular and short versions) that match this hair.

This is Flo Broke’s hair from The Sims 3. I hope this is what you wanted, Anon. I tried my best to blend the white hairs so it would look as natural as possible. 

It only comes in red and has been enabled for adults and elders. All other ages were deleted.

SimsFileShare - Sep 2020 Update

Thanks to my dashboard I learned that Simsfileshare is currently down while they are moving to a new server. 

I am afraid that most of my files are hosted there, so they will be unavailable for a little while. Sorry about that.

However, if by this weekend the files are not back up, you may send me a PM requesting any files you may be needing. If I have it on my PC laptop, I will upload it for you on Dropbox or OneDrive (or any server that is safe).

Old School Meshes (Part 2): The Rose Sims Dump

Rose Sims is my favorite old-school hair mesher. Back in the day, re-texturing their hairs was tricky and time-consuming, but for some reason the edits always came out very nice and smooth. I looked forward to the days in which a generous Simmer would upload a new Rose mesh to the Booty or SimsCave. 

Here’s a dump of my favorite meshes from Rose Sims. I did not re-re-texture them because 1) I like my old re-textures and 2) I *think* Remi’s textures are based on Neena’s anyways, so the difference would be very subtle.

Old School Meshes (Part 1): The Myos and Ephemera/Teru_K Edition 

Gather here children, because Ol’ Auntie Simgaroop is going to tell you a story ;)

Once upon a time, back in 2009 (or perhaps even earlier), there were two popular CC creators: One was Myos and the other one was Teru_k. Myos created hair meshes (mostly for males) and Teru_k created skintones (some looked like articulated dolls), makeup, eyebrows and hair re-textures. 

Teru_k was also known as Ephemera. Some of their creations were hard to find, because they were only shared in special member-only forums. I remember being so excited every time someone shared one of their hair-retextures at The Sims Cave.  

So, because I am feeling nostalgic, today I am sharing with you some recolors of Ephemera/Teru_k retextures of some old meshes by Myos, Fanseelamb and Newsea. I used these hairs with my Legacy sims, so I wanted to have them once again in my game. 

The Myos 25 Mesh has the original textures. As far as I know, Ephemera never re-textured it. 

Let me warn you that some of the textures are so tiny that they will seem a bit blurry. I don’t mind it, but I feel I must let you know nonetheless. I have not edited the preview pictures besides cropping and the gradient background.

I’ve just posted a little contribution for the Monthly Theme at Garden of Shadows.

It’s going to be a while before I can properly play the game - I currently only have my default eyes, default skins, default supernatural stuff, default makeup and eyebrows, default faces, the two modeling hacks I used all the time, the backdrops and the three outfits that were included when I re-downloaded my “model sims”. The Downloads folder I had in an External HD is a mess, so I guess I will have to slowly rebuild it. I am not looking forward to sorting out default clothing and mods YET AGAIN!

But that doesn’t mean I can’t create and share with you some goodies in the mean time. These are some newish (aka I hadn’t seen them before) meshes from Rented Space, retextured using Poppet’s textures and colors.

Well, they are 95% Poppeted, because I couldn’t help it but add just a tiny bit of highlights and shadows so they don’t look completely flat. 

These preview pics were just cropped. What you see is what you get.

Today is my Birthday, and to celebrate it I am sharing with you a couple pieces of Custom Content I made for my game. I am currently changing my hair colors and textures to Poppet’s. I tried them out in my Pleasanview and I really liked having fewer colors and a blonde that still looks cartoony but not Banana yellow. Poppet landed the blonde tone I was never able to recreate in Photoshop.

So, I’ve been recoloring my favorite hairs using her color actions. In most cases I’ve also used her textures  to keep things consistent. However, these two Rose meshes, my favorites since 2008, kept my retexture because I definitely didn’t want to deal with them again. Retexturing Rose (and some Raon) meshes back in the day was a pain in the butt. Besides, my Rose retextures usually came out smooth and matte, I really like her meshes.

These hairs come in Poppet’s 4 colors + her warm gray for Elders (linked to Black) - Children to Elder and the meshes are included.
