Someone in my building got food delivered from a place that is literally next door. Like. To pick up the delivery they have to leave the building anyway. Why would you do that

Hiiii , I know I've been MIA ,I hope you are doing well . 😄 what are your thoughts on the Australian gp? What are your predictions for the season?
Hello hello, nice to see you!!
AusGP was so much funnn. 4 am race in my time zone so I got to check my phone after a failed sleeping attempt to my friends yelling about Piastri crashing :')
I'm loving the new cars (if you set aside the stupid number of white cars). They look more fun, the size difference is seriously noticeable, and the racing?? Was spectacular???
(Flatmate's comment eight laps in was "holy shit they fixed F1" 😂)
Wonderful result for Lindblad, definitely my driver of the day! Sad about Hadjar and Piastri but Ferrari 3-4 makes up for it 💪
(I find it so funny that the cars all give off the vibes that they're about to fall apart 💀)
Predictions: definitely Mercedes' championship to lose, but I can see Ferrari bringing them a fight! I'm going to indulge in my delusions and believe Hamilton can win his eighth 🔥
What about you? Predictions, thoughts? How have you been?
W20-2 is my second attempt at Whumpuary 2025 day 20 (which I recently discovered is called febuwhump and not whumpuary)
The prompt was "I did good right?" and the fic is an AU where Bart and Kon return from the future while Tim is still on his BruceQuest. They want to find him immediately, but everyoneee else keeps them away because they think Tim's gone off the deep end.
Put simply, it's 5 times BartKon are told not to see Tim and 1 time they go anyway!
Snip under the cut:
“Can you hear him?” Bart asks out of the blue one day while they’re chilling in Kon’s room. Bart doesn’t pause in his video game, making very brief eye contact over Kon’s comic book.
“Hear who?”
“Tim. His… heartbeat and stuff.” For a moment, Kon is taken aback by the bluntness of the question, but a more assessing glance at Bart tells him all he needs to know. His shoulders are slumped further than they would normally, like he’s forcing them to look relaxed; his feet are tapping out rhythms on the carpet, showing his lack of focus in the game.
“Yeah,” Kon says after a moment. “Listening to his heartbeat is subconscious. I can hear his breath if I focus, but anything like his voice is too difficult to pick out.”
It's a Bat-Family coffee shop AU wherein the batfam (minus Tim) run a little cafe near Drake Industries, where Tim works. Plan is for it to be a cute slice-of-life found family sorta thing :)
Snip under the cut (I haven't reviewed it in a solid year so apologies for the quality)
The first time he’d visited, sceptical and desperately shoving down the naive hope that it would be somewhat good, Bruce had been running the place. Most of the staff hadn’t yet been hired, and the others were still in training, so it was Bruce who took his order, Bruce who narrowed his eyes with disbelief, and Bruce who gave him the abominable sugary (and more importantly, caffeine-less) monstrosity that Tim had definitely not ordered.
Bruce had replied to his complaints with a simple, “We don’t engage in child endangerment,” and then left Tim to his incredulous sputtering.
Tim, as he always did, sat at the corner table and people-watched as he drank. Back when he was in school, he’d use his commute as a time to unwind and exist vicariously through the people he saw, but now that he lived near the office, that time became coffee-shop time.
He was there for an hour, laptop open with so many spreadsheets he could fill a linen closet. Half an hour in, the morning flow of customers had quietened down a little. Still, it surprised him when he felt a presence next to him, and he looked up from his laptop to see Bruce.
Thanks @edmundpevensiesqueen and @alishadoesrandomstuffs for tagging me in this game (can't wait to see how your WIPs turn out!!)
THE RULES: make a new post with the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous and tag as many people as you have WIPs. People send an ask with the title that most intrigues them, then you post a snippet or tell them something about it!
I'm a pants-er so most of the things in my folder are just abandoned, not WIPs, but these are the ones I'm actually interested in continuing:
- BF coffee shop
- Capes and Coffee
- JD spectres
- W20-2
- Day 6: Rescue | Truth Serum | Camera
No pressure tags: @erraticsunflower @quillinhand @glasshouses-and-stones @serve-cunt @starlightiing
don't you like it bigger, better? (do what you can)

Summary:
It’s been a while since Dick has talked to Tim.
He seems fine whenever Dick takes a headcount at dinner. He’s always there, nose in a book. It’s just- Dick can’t quite remember the last time he saw Tim and he wasn’t reading.
But Dick’s been studying for his N.E.W.T.s, and Cass and Jason are busy with O.W.L. prep, and Steph and Tim are in an off-again phase that followed an explosive argument, and Dick is coming to the realisation that Tim may have gone woefully undersupervised this year.
