āOf course not!ā the redhead rolled his eyes with a grunt, stabbing his fork into his pie. Normally, it was his favorite, but heād lost his appetite the moment heād seen his best friend wander off to sit with those Octavinelle bastards just because theyād offered her an extra free snack.
āShe really is kind of a people magnet, isnāt she?ā Deuce muttered, staring down at his own plate. āā¦Ugh, this sucks. Itās just not the same when the prefect isnāt here.ā

Epel rested his cheek against his palm. āAt first, I figured it was just because those weirdos from Octavinelle wanted something from herā¦ā He glanced off to the side, catching sight of Rook squeezing himself between the prefect and Jade just to strike up a conversation with her. āā¦Apparently, itās even worse than I thought.ā
āWhy is the prefect sitting at a table surrounded by such underhanded and shady people!?ā Jackās ears twitched as Sebekās booming voice echoed across the cafeteria. āSheās far too trustingāā
āYouāre all acting like youāve got it the worst!ā Grim complained after shoving his face back into his can of tuna. āI just lost my best assistant!ā

āOh, quit being such a dick, Deuce.ā Ace smacked a hand against the table. āYou seriously think itās fair for some shady, arrogant loser to date our best friend!?ā
āI have to agree!ā Sebek crossed his arms. āEven if she is a human, she does not deserve to be deceived by those inferior humans who seek to take advantage of her kindness!ā
