A lot of you have asked her about the ring so I thought it’d be appropriate to share my personal story about the creation of it… Over the course of about a year, I strained myself with finding the proper craftsman to produce my vision. Long story short, I started with a couple overseas entities who didn’t work out due to international restrictions on precious gems during covid. A few more domestic companies and many Zoom meetings later, I opened conversations with @custommadejewelry. They made the process a breeze, even when I was probably the most picky client they’ve ever experienced… ha! As I left no stone unturned and apologized for my nagging attention to detail, all they replied with was good words of assurance that they loved how astute my millions of questions were. I knew from the start of the project, they were the ones who could and would complete my ring exactly to my standards. And so the process began as they stated me off with a project manager… Many sketches and options were exhausted as she helped me arrive at the perfect design plan. I was then setup with a Gemologist who went through countless hours of confirming all my research about precious stones. Throughout the process, I learned everything there is to know about diamond shopping from the basic four C’s (color, cut, clarity, carat), to ideal dimensions (table, facets, depth, girdle, etc.), to trade secrets of the international diamond industry, and all the way down to things like how fluorescence and every other aspect of natural diamonds affect its look and value. I can’t thank the gemologist enough for all the transparency and knowledge that led to my own self hunting and finding the perfect stones myself. Next came the 3D mock up specialist… CustomMade set me up with someone who painstakingly revised all my rings details until I was 100% satisfied. This stage included my indecisiveness on things like stone position and height, color and thickness of the gold band, etc., and was created exactly to spec of each stone/gem. …design process and explanation continued in comments. https://www.instagram.com/p/CQE1TAyr6GT/?utm_medium=tumblr
