Its not I think everyone is. But once its over we have 6 weeks until we have to be this nervous again.  That sounds so good. I was at the hospital for a meeting now just enjoying the community center and working on this Carnival.

I’ll worry about that in about six weeks, I’ll enjoy the freedom for now. How about you? Suffering in six weeks time or planning a weeding? Whta was the hospital meeting about?

There’s also only so much a person can do, no matter how talented or skilled someone is there’s always a chance of something going wrong. I don’t think I’ve had anyone complain about their physical therapist damaging them too much yet.

And there’s pretty shitty doctors out there, my dad has plenty of sotories about young doctors trying to play heroes who get cocky and sometimes things don’t go their way. I wouldn’t be surprised someone complaing about their recovery taking too long and hurting too much.

I think we all outgrew Lima once we decided to leave and get the taste of the real world. I guess, we all end up back home eventually right? Oh, jean jackets are defiantly making a come back right now. Which, I for one can say I’m very happy about. 

Clearly. It’s either in the water or the High Counsel. Good, I was afraid I was going to be out of fashion the rest of the year, because I wasn’t going to get rid of them. So, the big question right now is, did you get picked on this round?

Probably not. I thought some people would be nonchalant. But it seems like everyone is nervous and anxious. Now that I got my letter, I thought it would go away, but now I have wedding jitters.

I mean, it’s a three year commitment we have no say in, it’s normal we aren’t exactly calm and relaxed about the whole thing. Oh, you were one of the four... How are you feeling about it? Does it get better or worse?

That’s a sweet story about your parents. It gives me hope that these matches will be a well-made match as long as everyone puts an effort. Marriage isn’t easy and requires a lot of work. And yea, a good roommate, though I’m hoping that she becomes more than a good roommate. That may be the hopeless romantic in me. It’s nice that you’re optimistic about it, makes me feel good that I’m not the only one.

Yeah, that’s what I hope so too. Sterling luck, maybe. Any relationship takes effort, and I’m willing to do it, give it a honest try. Guess we’re on the same boat, whoever I get, I hope we can at least give it a try at a real relationship. So... are you getting your romantic fantasy or you’ll be suffering with attencipation in the next lottery with me?

I feel the exact same way. I just want to get it over with so I can start trying to get to know whoever I’m matched with. I just hope I get along with the person. Can you imagine getting set up with someone and you don’t get along or have anything in common? That will make for a very long three years.

As weird this whole thing is, I like to think they at least try to match people as best as they can. I mean, my parents were together, broke up because life happens, and then lottery ended up bringing them back together. It did something right at least once. That’s what I’m hoping for. May you get someone you can at least share a living space with. A cool roomate.

Yes, well, the Higher Counsel can’t be thought of as entire assholes. Bad for PR. Yes, we shall. I like the sound of that.

They won’t last forever. Who knows, maybe we’re the last generation going through this. I’ll hold you to that.

That’s good to hear. There’s nothing like coming back into town and trying to keep a low profile for a little while, before everybody starts to go a little crazy. I do remember you mentioning that a while back, did you enjoy it there? I’m doing well, you know going back and forth between New York and Lima has been exhausting so I’ll be staying here for the next few months until my next clothing launch. 

Yeah, best to blend in and see what’s up. Things change a lot once you leave for a while, not sure if I outgrew Lima or Lima outgrew me in my absence. But I guess I missed home, or else I wouldn’t be back. Damn, I can imagine that, specially when you go from little Lima to huge New York. Uhhh, what’s in this season? Are jean jackets still in or you’re breaking my demin loving heart?

I think people forget that because it’s not always ‘traditional’ surgery so they don’t take it as seriously or realize there can be major complications with it. It’s a big part of my life. Part of me actually thought I’d be doing something helpful for people who were wrongfully treated or not given proper care, but those cases are a lot less likely.

It’s almost like most doctors actually care about what they’re doing. I better look out for you, who knows if my next patient won’t go straight to you after I pushed them too hard after a rehab sesh.

Is it cliché I say I am nervous about today? I think everyone is feeling the anticipation. Other than that, can’t wait to order some chinese take out when I get home. How about you? What’s going on this beautiful Monday morning?

Yeah, I think they’re cheap because no one wants to deal with them. Which I now totally get. 

Yeah, I leave whole animals for my mom to deal with. I can make some mean buffalo wings, but turkeys and whole chickens are meals to have at my parents’.

Very true. And you know, maybe some of us will end up with, at the very least, a good friend out of it.

That’s the goal. I’d rather not spent the next three years going mad with someone who clearly was a very bad choice.

That’s what I get to spend the next few weeks finding out. I’ll admit that she isn’t exactly walking around looking horrible, but there’s always a chance something could have gone wrong. No matter what, it keeps me busy.

It’s surgery, anything could go wrong. You could go for something simple and come out dead. But I guess, if there’s malpractice you should be able to sue. Is that your life? Constant botched surgeries?
