"You're more dangerous sober than you are drunk."
Don't be ignorant to history.
Gil Noble, a renowned American television reporter and host, gives an insightful explanation of why many people in the Black community were initially unsettled and intimidated by Malcolm X.
He was a man who was introducing a whole new way of life, outspoken on the ills of white supremacy and was not afraid to break social norms like adopting European names to assimilate. Instead, he changed his last name to an “X” and, in Noble’s words, said terrible things about white people that everyone was thinking yet would not dare to say.
Decades later, people like Noble came to understand what Malcolm was actually doing. He was giving his community a sense of self, respect and dignity. He was awakening a generation socialised for obedience, decadence and fear, to a people striving for self-determination, equality and justice.
Malcolm X was a true revolutionary, and perhaps the greatest lesson from Noble’s account is remembering that even one’s own people may not come to terms with the truth, but that should not deter a person of principle from saying out loud what others are too scared to utter.

"But the DOW is over 50,000" is the capitalist position on child canabalism.
THE RAGE IS BACK!
“Some scholars and scientists estimate the real death toll in Gaza at 680,000. If confirmed, 380,000 of them are infants under five.”
—Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur
"They buried Lumumba
In an unmarked grave.
But he needs no marker––
For air is his grave.
Sun is his grave,
Moon is, stars are,
Space is his grave.
My heart's his grave,
And it's marked there.
Tomorrow will mark it everywhere."
-Langston Hughes
Proximity to Justice
As we think of Renee Good's federal sanctioned execution, we must remember that the 1st person ever executed for treason in this country was John Brown. If you're white trying to save black & brown people you lose your proximity to whiteness.

Gaza is experiencing a deep and severe low-pressure system. These storms are adding to the suffering of 1.5 million displaced people.
Five houses have collapsed in Gaza due to the torrential rain. It's even more difficult for those living in tents.
There is no way to stay warm. No one can even light fires because they have no gas or firewood. A child died this morning from the extreme cold.
Flooding may be a natural disaster, but the suffering caused by these floods was of Israeli design.
Israel has left most buildings in Gaza either damaged or completely reduced to rubble. There is no way to protect from the elements. Experts say 300,000 new tents are urgently needed, but Israel blocks the flow of supplies.
Israel has targeted sanitation systems and destroyed vehicles used to pump water throughout the city. All the ways that a city could respond to flooding has been sabotaged by years of infrastructural damage.
Please help families to survive these harsh conditions.
Mahmoud and Mahrah's mother caught the flu as winter approached. It is much harder to recover from the flu when conditions are so stressful and there isn't enough food or medicine.
Their father is suffering from pain in his leg and cannot move normally. They are hoping for him to recover soon.

Mahrah's fundraising efforts have been vetted by @90-ghost and shared by fairuzfan.
My wife, @cannilyuncanny hosts their family's GoFundMe campaign and sends transfers of donations directly to Mahrah in Gaza. I promise you that these donations are a lifeline for her family.
Please consider donating.
