( * his face contorts into a one full of confusion, corner of his lips pulled onto the side and he ponders ) not that i know of? why? ( * and in that moment, he had felt endless vibrations coming from his pocket and he groans, who could interrupt his time with his darling? ) ( * reaching for his cell, he skimmed through his screen and saw maybe a total of ten text from taemin and a few other happy birthday text ) oh. ( * he transfer his attention back to soojung, rolling his eyes playfully ) i see where this is going.

( `she glances over to him when he groans in fear of maybe she’d done something, but he’s only looking at his phone and relief fills her; ) well, maybe if you hadn’t slept in, sleepy head, you would have seen it coming! ( `she laughs brightly, leaning into him, but already their destination greets them; ) come on! in here! ( `with a tug she brings him inside of the building, and children’s laughter fills the air -- what better way to spend time with her love than ice skating? it was something in all those romance films, a delicate moment to hold hands or... something. she carefully looks over to jongin, worried; ) wanna go ice skating?

( * he laughs at his last statement, nearly tripping before catching himself )

just woke -- jongin. ( `deadpans, laughing as she shakes her head; ) did i wake you up when i texted you? actually, you know what, that’s okay. we’re going on a date, that’s what. ( `noticing his none-too-graceful movements, she hooks her arm around his and leads the way; ) i’m not even going to tell you that just yet. and i promise, everything’s gonna be great. leave it to your darling soojung. ( `ok she can’t say that without giggling. a lot. but she guides him along, her steps light; ) have you heard from anyone else today, by the way? ( `their destination isn't too far, but small talk was never just that for her -- she loves hearing him speak, loves his company, so maybe she was spoiling herself on his birthday, too; )

( * still searching for the girl, he felt a slight tap on his shoulder and he turns around to find the source of the perpetrator and he jumps back ) OH!

( * eyes boring holes to his girlfriend, he stares at the female golden locks and his lips spread out into a grin, his digits swimming through the strands ) wow, this look… this is… a look. is this why you’ve been ignoring me? and here i thought it was because i stink or something.. ( * he pouts, still admiring soojung’s hair )

( * jumping on one leg and trying to insert the latter inside his pant holes, he briskly tried to find a jacket and made his way through his apartment door and grabbed a hold of his phone and checked the messages that was displayed on his screen ) oh no i’m making her wait.

( * quickens his pace and makes his way out to the door and she’s no where in sight, all he sees is a blonde female with her back turned and he’s confused, walking right past the girl and his eyebrows knit together )

( `she doesn’t hear him, not at first, but when her phone pings with his message she looks around until she sees him walk right past her. mischief and happiness make every step closer lighter until she can tap him on the shoulder; )

( `laughing behind her hand, she watches his expression to her platinum blonde hair; ) excuse me sir, i’m looking for my boyfriend. i wanted to surprise him but i think he might be lost...?

( `smooths her skirt as she gives herself one last check up in the mirror -- freshly bleached blonde hair, after trying to keep jongin away for a few days (which was a feat in of itself, considering they worked together) so she can surprise him with the shock of platinum -- and decides it’s enough. bouncing out the door with a jacket and purse, she pulls out her cellphone; )

( `the walk to his apartment would be brisk at worst, but her steps are so light she doesn’t mind in the least. she feels so wonderful, and hopes that she can tell him everything; )

( `stills as she’s hugged, but her hands come up to cling to his shirt unbidden, taking in the warmth that was jongin before he would step away. the kiss was sudden and gentle, stunning her once more into a dumb silence until he spoke again. she reaches for his hand with all the delicacy of a princess, and yet the moment her fingers made contact with his palm she made sure that once their hands entwined, she wasn’t going to let go; ) okay. ( `it’s quiet but full of affection and warmth as she beams up at him, brushing her hair out of her face with her free hand; ) lead the way, charming.

( * he smiles with all of his pearly white showing, feeling touched at the gift )

( `flushed as she takes the bracelet from him, settling it on his wrist and clasping it for him; ) because we’re always together. gold and silver, entwined. our fate i mean? like. ( `traced her finger against the gold half of the chain; ) this is me.
