Since I was a child, I’ve always put others before me. I’ve always made sure that everyone else was straight before I actually was. But I’ve never had to worry about where my next meal was coming from, how I was getting from point A to B or even if I had enough money to make it through the week. God has ALWAYS provided for me even in my downfall. It isn’t until now that I realized that within these past couple years I actually started living for myself. I created music for myself, I fell in love for myself, I literally experienced life for myself. Even in that, I still ended up putting others before me. I went to a high school (that I don’t regret going to) because someone else wanted me to go. I went to a college of a different caliber than my liking and ended up dropping out because of it. I even said yes to certain things I shouldn’t have said yes to. Which made me hurt the people around me and even myself in some instances. Although our purpose is to serve, the truth of the matter is, it’s hard actually living for yourself. Even when you are constantly trying to please others. Selves insecurities can get in the way of your true purpose and vision. Your own vision can be tainted and misplaced because someone “higher than you” wants to use you. It is important to pray without ceasing and have a spirit of descernment so that you will never fall or be misused. Learn under great leadership that will impact your life as soon as you leave their presence. Find your hunger again and do not settle for less or even mediocre. You are GREAT. Beautifully and wonderfully made. And I promise if you walk in it daily, there’s no stopping what God can do for you.
