“[Y/N] [Y/L/N].” The automated voice from the speaker called her name, grabbing attention from almost everyone present in the cafeteria. [Y/N] quickly gulped down her glass of orange juice and rushed to the senior inspector’s office. She was dreading going inside. Some of her friends who have been called earlier, always came back in tears or angered. She didn't know what to expect.
“May I come in, sir?” As she stood in front of his desk, [Y/N] was a little relieved after seeing the neutral expression on Mr Watson’s face, he was not angry at her. But maybe that is a trap, to sweetly insult her. Her overthinking always got the best of her.
Mr Watson looked at her seriously for a few minutes, the longest two minutes of her life, then forwarded a folder towards her without saying a word. “Considering your track record, you might be the best choice here. Even though you are young, we think that it is a plus factor in this case.” He said and motioned his hand towards Ms Palmer, his usual case partner. [Y/N] smiled at her, she was such a kind lady and fiery when needed to be.
[Y/N] opened the folder and read the details. Her eyes widened after completing the file. She gulped nervously and looked up to voice out her thoughts but before she could, Ms Palmer smiled encouraging-ly at her. “I'm hoping you wouldn't disappoint us and back out, right [Y/N]?” She sweetly asked. “Also, consider this as a test for you, the earlier you solve it, the sooner you'll get your promotion.” Mr Watson continued and that put her in a big dilemma.
Her ringing cell phone caught her attention. It was her brother. [Y/N] quickly put it back and responded with a nod. “I accept, sir. Thank you for the opportunity.” Were her words before exiting the chambers.

The next day, she was waiting with her colleagues for the minister to come and address them, as instructed. But they were surprised by the unexpected arrival of his son. “I'm James, nice to meet you all.” He introduced himself but refused to say anything about the change of plans to the team. On top of that he started bossing around. This attitude frustrated [Y/N] to no end and she snapped at him, asking him the reason for his arrival instead of his father a little aggressively.
“You do know that your tone of voice may get you kicked out of the team, right?” James said in a saccharine voice though his words were full of bitterness. “You are going to work for me and this attitude will get you nowhere.”
“As if I'm dying to do so. Did you forget that it is you who is receiving threats? You need my help, not the other way around.” She sassed back.
The others present in the conference hall were a silent spectator as the back and forth between James and [Y/N] continued. It was clear that James, being the only son of the minister and a youth sensation, was not the one to tolerate someone using authority over him. [Y/N] on the other hand was on the quiet side but when provoked, she proved to be a thunderstorm. It was a deadly combination.
“You know what, see you in New York. I have some work to do. This isn't over Miss [Y/L/N].” James jumped up from his seat and was out of the room in a minute.
[Y/N] stared at his retreating figure in confusion. “We have to go to New York?” She asked no one in particular.

Reaching home, [Y/N] took in the messy sight of her flat and carefully walked the path to her bedroom. “Rabbit.” She called out and an annoyed voice answered her. “[Y/N]. Stop it. I'm not a little kid anymore, I'm 17.”
“You'll always be a little guy to me, rabbit.” She ruffled her brother’s hair and went to the kitchen, not before instructing him to clean the mess he created. Just after a few seconds, [Y/N] came rushing back and hugged her brother with all her might. The boy got startled and fell down along with her.
“You made dinner today. I am so happy and so proud of you my rabbit.”
Her brother blushed and dismissed the situation just like many other teenage boys. The siblings duo were having their dinner when [Y/N] decided to drop the bomb. “Rob, I need to move out of the town for some work. It's a high profile case.”
“When are you leaving then?” Her brother asked emotionlessly though he was feeling upset.
“You’re not going to say anything?” Upon getting no reply, [Y/N] mentioned the date of her departure. “It's important for me and taking up this case will be beneficial for us.” She tried to explain nervously but her brother had a mind of his own and did not bother to talk.
After a few minutes of awkward silence, her brother hugged her tightly. “I'll miss you. Can't you take me with you?” He whispered sadly. The love they shared was deep and it was difficult for them to be apart for so many days.
“I'll return as soon as possible, rabbit.” [Y/N] replied quietly and went to her room to pack her stuff, her brother helping her with it. She didn't know what to expect from the future but one thing was sure, this case was going to be life changing for her.

Life in Hogwarts was better than the muggle way in more ways than one. [Y/N] knew that from her friends’ and classmates’ comments but one thing that is common in both the worlds are strict professors who give the students a month's worth of homework to be completed in just three days. That's why she found herself sitting in the library at around midnight like an owl.
“Need any help?” A voice from above her head said. Looking up [Y/N] scrunched her nose in distaste as she looked at the most annoying and arrogant boy in her opinion. Actually that is a draw between him and Draco Malfoy. “What is it, Nott? Can't you see that I'm busy?” She sneered at him.
Theodore laughed it off and took a seat in front of her, picking up one of the books scattered on the table. “As a matter of fact, yes I can see, [Y/L/N]. Thanks for your concern. I just thought I'd help.” He shrugged nonchalantly.
“You don't ‘help’, Nott. That word is not in your dictionary. Everyone in Hogwarts knows that.” [Y/N] scoffed. She was already feeling very moody because of all the assignments, add to that one egoistic boy trying to fry her brains. Yep, she was knackered and in need of a break.
“True that. I do have a motive, [Y/L/N].” Theodore smirked. That pretty tilt of his lips infuriated [Y/N] to no end but that one girly side of her brain found it hot too. She chided herself for even entertaining such thoughts. “Wouldn't you like to know?” he continued. [Y/N], already fed up by his antics, huffed in response and buried her nose in the papers kept in front of her.
Suddenly that was snatched away from her and looking up, she scowled at her housemate. Theodore merely shrugged in response and continued to pester her with his antics. [Y/N] leaped up unexpectedly and took him by surprise but she miscalculated her actions and it resulted in them landing in a heap on the library floor.
While [Y/N] was distracted by her hair, Theodore was gazing at her intently. “Look up.” He whispered in a deep voice. Their eyes connected and no words were exchanged. He moved closer, almost pulling her in his lap. Moving forward, his face was just at a hair’s distance. [Y/N] found herself doing something she never thought she'd be bold enough to do, she closed the gap between the two of them. She pulled away quickly.
Theodore tried to pull her back but she had already gotten up by now. “You have a girlfriend, Nott. What are you doing?” She hissed.
“Just continuing whatever you started, [Y/L/N].” Theodore answered nonchalantly.
[Y/N] had already turned around and left, not even bothering to collect her things. Her mind was a mess. All she could think of was Theodore, his annoying antics and her own feelings for the tall, cocky and mean Slytherin. She was still confused but one thing was sure, attending the party that night was going to be a mission in itself for her.
I was wondering if I could make a request for a matt murdock x reader idea. You could make it into a headcannon or a dribble I dont mind ✨.
Basically I’ve always found interesting the idea of matt either loosing his powers or his hearing senses (like in season 3)
So id think about something like that happening to him and the reader helping him found himself in his new routine without his vigilante identity.
(insecure and « in need of love » matt is my weakness jsjs)
Lots of angst but a happy ending if possible
(Also its preferable if reader is just a civilian too)
Thanks 🦋
Love me tender.
Summary - an unfortunate accident almost cost your boyfriend's life but you are there to help him recover, even if he gets emotional and says stupid things.

Word count - 855.
Note - I'm sorry for being so late in delivering this, I got my exam results and it was not good. I was upset, so I couldn't get anything done.

It came as a shock to you when a phone call disturbed your sleep at 3 a.m. informing you about your boyfriend's accident. You were the only person on his emergency contact and the hospital staff were quick to inform you. When you reached the hospital gates, a fear gripped your heart. You were not sure what happened with Matt exactly but you could make out that it was something very serious from the nurse’s words.
“[Y/N] [Y/L/N], I am here to visit Matt Murdock.” You informed the receptionist. She typed something on her computer and directed you towards the ward. That night, you had the biggest shock of your life as you waited for the doctors and nurses treating Matt.
“It was quite a fatal accident, Miss [Y/L/N]. We're lucky that he survived but he might take some time to recover and from what we have gathered, he might have some problems with his external auditory canal.”
“But… he'll be okay, right? He will recover, right?” You asked him. The doctor nodded his head and left because of another case. It was all up to you now, to let him know. You knew how upset he felt if treated with sympathy, you felt like that too. You just wanted him to recover completely before taking any risks with his life.
A few days later, when you were sitting quietly in the living room and grading the test papers, you heard a cracking sound. Rushing to the kitchen, you saw your boyfriend standing and in front of him, a broken glass. “Are you okay? And what are you doing here?” You carefully reached him and brought him back to your room.
Before you could scold him for being so careless and not resting enough, you saw him sitting quietly, too quietly like a statue. He was holding his mask in his hand. It was high time now, you needed to talk. You placed your hand on his shoulder and got his attention. Matt was still quiet.
“You can't carry on like this, Matt.” You said after a moment of silence.
“I don't know what to do. I'm lost, okay. This feeling… the feeling of being helpless and staying at home all day… it kills me. I feel like I failed.”
“No matt. Please don't say things like that.” Your voice was thick with emotions. “We can go through anything if we are together. Please don't shut me out.”
Matt gave you a sad little smile and you knew that you had a long road ahead of you.
A few days passed with you and Matt adjusting to the new life without his vigilante identity. It was a struggle in the beginning but slowly, he recovered… at least physically.
One evening, you were sitting on the couch, watching one of your favourite films when you noticed Matt standing in the corner, lost in his thoughts. “What happened, babe? You alright?” You rushed to him and to your surprise he jerked your hands off him. That had never happened before.
“I think we should take a break.”
“What?” To say you were shocked would be an understatement. You didn't know what came over him suddenly.
“Yes, [Y/N]… we should.” He sounded serious.
“But, at this point? I don't understand Matt. What happened?”
“Because I can't give you a normal life, [Y/N]. Why is it so difficult for you to understand that? You were sitting there, all peacefully, watching a move. We couldn't do that together, or anything normal couples do. How many times we had to cancel our plans because of me being daredevil and trying to save the city. You don't need to go through all of this. You deserve better, [Y/N].” He breathed hard after his confession, sightless eyes following where your figure should be.
“Leave it to me to decide what and who I deserve. I love you, Matt. I know that I never said it before, I didn't want to push you away. I don't want ‘normal’, I just want you.” By the end of it, you had wrapped your arms around his neck and forced him to sit down. It was one of the few raw moments you shared.
“I'm sorry.” He said after a few minutes of silence. “Promise me, you won't do anything stupid like this again.” You asked, gently massaging his scalp. Matt just nodded his head. You knew that you had a long road ahead of you but you were satisfied with the journey. In the end it's just you two, together.
Hi! I saw that your requests are open and I read your rules. Can I request a Theordore Nott with a Hufflepuff reader? A Hufflepuff who is quiet, but not shy. Like she speaks when spoken too or whenever she deems it necessary. Maybe they get grouped together in a project or something where they cross paths. Preferably fluff. Thanks love

Being in hufflepuff was a good as well as tiring experience. Your housemates were cheerful and had a positive vibe, most of them were smart and badass but to others, you guys were portrayed as a bunch of smiles and laughs. The most common assumption that other houses had regarding you was that they thought you were shy, sweet and naive but you are not, you are just quiet and enjoy your alone time. It was a given that most of them who tried to bother you or make fun of you were pleasantly shut down and put into place. And on such days, your friend Hannah would find you in a sour mood.
“What happened now?” She asked curiously after seeing your grumpy expression. You shook your head and mouthed ‘potions’. That was enough for her to guess what might have happened. You shared potions with the Slytherins and one of them always bothered you because he considered himself as an expert in the subject just because of his house when in reality he was not. As you guys were about to sit down and relax, someone's footsteps caught your attention. To your left stood Theo, the boy with whom you were paired up, courtesy of professor Snape.
“Need to discuss something.” He said plainly and turned around. You didn't know what he was expecting but still stood up to follow him. Hannah looked at you with wide eyes and a smirk, knowing well about your crush on the tall boy. “Out of my league.” You would say but she was convinced that he liked you back.
Theodore led you to one of the quiet spots in the library. You took a seat in front of the windows while he wandered off to select the books needed for the potions assignment. After a few minutes he came back with not one but three thick books making you chuckle and the tall Slytherin graced you with a rare smile of his own. It made your heart flutter.
“All good, badger? You sure this is a study session and not a tutoring program for yourself?” A nasty voice interrupted your study session. You were too deep in the books to notice him the first time.
“What do you want, Codnor? We're busy here.” Theo said to his housemate. The boy continued to stare at the two of you until you finally snapped.
“Codnor, please go to madam pomfrey and get your eyes checked. They're stuck at our table, I think that might be a serious issue.” He looked at you with a very displeased expression but before he could retaliate, Theo had gotten up and made him leave.
When he returned, he saw you mumbling and couldn't hold back his laugh. “Stop it.” You whispered angrily. Theo raised his hands in surrender and took his seat. “You know [Y/N], there's something about you that I might've guessed wrong.”
“What?” You looked at him confused.
“I thought that you were one of those shy ones but you're not. You're feisty. I like that. I like you more now.” An awkward moment followed after his unexpected words. Theo cleared his throat and tried to find the right words.
“What do you mean, Theo? You're not teasing me, are you? Because that's a little evil considering you know how I feel.”
“No. I'm not. I'd never.” He reassured you. “And I know about how you feel.”
For the first time since you reached Hogwarts, you saw Theo at a loss of words. “Are you saying that you feel the same?” You asked him quietly, hesitantly.
“Merlin! Yes. I am not good with words but I'll try. [Y/N] [Y/L/N], i am infatuated with you, your personality and intelligence add to your charm. Will you do me a favour by being my girlfriend and making me the happiest man alive?” He forwarded his hand, palm up, to you.
You blinked in shock then did a little dance while sitting on the chair because you couldn't shout in the library. “Yes. A thousand times yes.” You placed your hand in his. He brought it up to his lips and placed a chaste kiss at the back of your hand.
The rest of the afternoon went away peacefully and by the end of it, you ended up in Theo's lap, sharing your first kiss.

Cursive words made their way across the document as he led the pen from left to right, every movement a study in perfection. A famous business wizard like Theodore Nott who hailed from a high class pure blood family, couldn't afford anything less than perfection. He pursed his lips as he focused on getting his signature just right, reading the already typed composition. Mergers, especially one as important as this one needed to be dealt with utmost care, and a very carefully crafted ‘brown nosing’ letter never hurt anyone.
He was feeling very pleased with his efforts when a loud noise from outside his office startled him. Throwing an angry glare towards the closed door, he cursed the person who disturbed him.
“You can't go in there Miss. He's very busy.” His secretary's voice reached his ears. “To hell with his schedule. I don't care.” The other voice responded sharply and he knew who that other person was. He mentally prepared himself for the upcoming drama, tiredly rubbing his eyes.
“I'm sorry Mr. Nott, this—this Woman refused to make an appointment. Should I escort her out?”
Theodore eyed the girl in front of him; she stared back defiantly, challenging him. He wouldn't throw her out but that didn't mean that he couldn't make her sweat. The young woman in front of him started to fidget nervously the longer Theodore kept staring at her without a word. “It's okay Riya. You're excused.” The woman heaved a sigh of relief at his words.
Theodore turned to her and said coldly. “Now, to what do I owe the pleasure? What is it, [Y/L/N]? Say your piece and spare me. I am too busy to hear your rambling right now.”
[Y/N] scoffed, wrapping her arms around herself as if she was trying to protect herself from his coldness. “Wow. So you can speak more than three words at a time and just my luck that you use them to dismiss me. ‘[Y/L/N]’, ‘my piece’... You are so intolerable Theodore.”
“Then why are you here, love?” He retorted flippantly but her next words made him stop his work.
“He knows…”
“Who knows what, [Y/N]?”
“Alex… he found your waistcoat under the bed… the one you forgot to put on because of some ‘important’ business.” She confessed, her voice shaky. She paused and then opened her mouth to continue, her voice cracking. “He didn't even ask who it belonged to. He said that it didn't matter. He blamed himself, you know…For being gone so often.”
Theodore kept staring at the papers on his desk, completely still. He didn't know what kind of response she was expecting but his mind went blank. He was about to say something when she dropped the final bomb. “He has asked me to marry him.”
Her eyes finally rose up from the floor. He could feel her willing him to look back at her; willing him to show any emotion. But the man kept staring at his desk, forcing himself to pick up the document and continue his letter.
“I haven't answered him yet.” She admitted, “I had to come here first. I had to see you, but you've been avoiding me and… I just need to know if you feel anything, anything at all for me.” She waited for him to respond, waited for any sign from him but he was as cold as ice and just as frozen as he signed his name at the end of his letter.
He continued his work robotically and took a breath only after hearing her footsteps shuffling closer to the door. “I meant what I said that night… I still do.” She whispered and then she was gone, missing the look that crossed his face.
After crying her heart out, [Y/N] kept staring at the end of the room blankly, her mind still stuck on everything that has happened in her life recently. “I am stronger than this.” She whispered to herself. Her head fell against the back of the couch, and she curled a leg up beside her, wrapping her arms around it as she glanced out the window.
It never should have happened, she knew that now, but she still couldn't bring herself to regret that it had. It had all started about six months ago, she and Alex had been having a lot of arguments around that time.
“You promised!” She raised her voice, fed up with his attitude.
“I know babe but this is urgent.” Alex said softly, trying to pacify her but it made her angrier instead.
“Fine. Go wherever you want to. Do whatever you want. But I am not going to keep changing my plans according to you every time. I am going to attend the Christmas Eve party… with or without you.”
“No. You can't do that [Y/N]. What will they say? My reputation will be thrashed.”
“Oh I can and I will. If you care about your ‘reputation’ then come to the event with me.” She asked one last time but only got a shake of head in return as Alex took his briefcase and apparated.
There at the party, [Y/N] found herself in the company of none other than Theodore Nott, one of the Slytherin guys from a year above her. She had never interacted with him outside of the classes. Though she didn't trust him, she couldn't disagree that the man was charming. A few drinks later, she found herself up against a wall in one of the vast deserted hallways, moaning and thoroughly enjoying herself with a man that most definitely was not her boyfriend. That was how it all started.
Secret correspondence and casual meetings followed. Every time she would receive one of his notes or calls, she would hesitate and every time she gave in. She couldn't stop herself; he made her feel passionate, naughty, and desirable. It was everything she never felt with Alex thus she became addicted.
Over time, their pattern seemed to change. It started with simple words after they were intimate and soon she found herself spending nights in his house. It went to a point where she would see Alex maybe once in two or three weeks for a date and spend almost every other day with Theodore.
After sometime she realized that her feelings for the two men had begun to change. Theodore had become her confidant and lover. On the other hand she found herself forgetting about the dates with Alex, arriving late when he called her, zoning out when he talked to her. She was figuring out what to do when the unexpected happened.
They were lying in his bed, quietly content after a night full of activity when her lips, engaged by a sleepy mind, betrayed her. “I think… I love you.” Time froze. In one swift movement, her lover had stood from the bed and had placed his robe around his shoulders, apparating away.
She remembered how she had sat there; hurt and humiliated beyond belief. It had taken all the strength and courage that she could muster to get dressed and leave that night. That was two weeks ago.
Truth to be told, when Alex had found Theodore's waistcoat under her bed, she felt relieved. Everything would be out in the open, she could move on but once again reality turned out to be quite different than her thoughts. Alex opened up to her about his behaviour and promised to work less, be with her more and that he wanted to marry her. Before she could blink, he was down on his knee, proposing to her.
“I… I need time, Alex.”
Now here she was, lamenting unrequited love and cursing her fate.
A week later -
[Y/N] pushed open the door of her flat with a tired sigh. She tossed her shoes into their space in her coat closet with one hand as she released the clip that held her hair with the other. Moving towards the kitchen cabinet, she uncorked the wine bottle and took a sip directly from the bottle.
“Long day?” A deep voice asked her.
She turned on her feet and observed the man in front of her. Theodore was sitting on the couch as if he owned the place. “What. Do. You. Want?” She asked slowly, proud of the bitterness in her voice. “Theodore…”
He didn't verbally respond; calling her to him with a gesture of his hands. She wanted to shout at him but she couldn't. He made her weak. He reached up with his fingers for her left hand, his thumb brushing over the plain gold band that sat there.
“I'm engaged…” She tried to stop the teasing fingertips from continuing their journey of exploring her body.
“Well… you're not married yet. It's just a ring.” He whispered, holding her face to make her look at him. She felt the pads of his fingertips gripping the ring on her third finger and slowly sliding it off. A metallic clink resonated in her ears as the ring fell to the floor.
The fight drained out of her as she sunk into her lover's arms. Her knees folding under her as his lips joined with hers. She knew that this night would be their final goodbye.
“Where is your engagement ring?”
“I… I must have forgotten it.”
“Forgotten it? On the night of our engagement party?” Alex questioned incredulously. They were interrupted by some other guests and they easily fell into the conversation, saving [Y/N] from trying to come up with more lies.
“How are you doing, Codnor?” Another voice interrupted the couple. Alex cursed seeing the person who disturbed his conversation with his fiancèe.
“How did you even enter, Nott? This is an invitation only party so kindly leave before I kick you out.”
Theodore smirked, raising his closed fist over [Y/N]'s glass of champagne. One by one he uncurled his fingers, dropping something small and shiny. Alex had a look of confusion and shock on his features as he realized that in the glass was [Y/N]'s engagement ring.
“I know I wasn't invited, Codnor, but I am here to collect what's mine… don't look so shocked. She hasn't been yours for a while.”
Before she could think, Alex punched Theodore, hard… and a fight started between the two. Alex's parents changed the topic and sent the guests on their way to save their image of respectful people. It wasn't until [Y/N] physically pulled Theodore back that he stopped. Even though Alex was almost as tall as Theodore, he was no match for his muscles and strength.
“When did this… this thing start? Tell me everything, [Y/N]… honestly this time.” Alex pleaded.
“Six months ago. I was angry at you and I know it is wrong but… when I did go to the party, alone, no one paid any attention to me. Didn't even greet me with a simple ‘hello’. I felt as though I was only someone if I was with you. I felt so worthless. Theodore was at the party. He annoyed me and I took my anger out on him… I don't know how but the next thing I remember is kissing him; one thing lead to another and here we are… I am sorry Alex. I don't deserve you.”
Alex scoffed. He left immediately after throwing the ring down. His mouth did not say a word but his eyes conveyed the anger and disgust he was feeling at her.
[Y/N] turned to Theodore. “Well. It was a long day. Thank you for ruining my engagement party. Now I think we should go.” She stood from her chair but Theodore pulled her back by her wrist, making her sit on his lap. “What is it?” She asked him.
“You asked me that day, if I feel anything at all for you. The answer is, I don't. I feel everything for you, Miss [Y/N] [Y/L/N].” He said cupping her face in his hands and pressed his lips on hers.
She smiled in their kiss knowing for sure that the man whom she gave her heart to would do everything in his power to keep her safe and happy now that he finally realised what she meant to him.
THE END.

Shelby, this—this Woman refused to make an appointment. Should I escort her out?”
Tommy eyed the girl in front of him; she stared back defiantly, challenging him. He wouldn't throw her out but that didn't mean that he couldn't make her sweat. The young woman in front of him started to fidget nervously the longer Tommy kept staring at her without a word. “It's okay George. You're excused.” The woman heaved a sigh of relief at his words.
Tommy turned to her and said coldly. “Now, to what do I owe the pleasure? What is it, [Y/L/N]? Say your piece and spare me. I am too busy right now.”
[Y/N] scoffed, wrapping her arms around herself as if she was trying to protect herself from his coldness. “Wow. So you can speak more than three words at a time and just my luck that you use them to dismiss me. ‘[Y/L/N]’, ‘my piece’... You are so intolerable Tommy.”
“Then why are you here, love?” He retorted flippantly but her next words made him stop his work.
“He knows…”
“Who knows what, [Y/N]?”
“Robert… he found your waistcoat under the bed… the one you forgot to put on because of some ‘important’ business.” She confessed, her voice shaky. She paused and then opened her mouth to continue, her voice cracking. “He didn't even ask who it belonged to. He said that it didn't matter. He blamed himself, you know…For being gone so often.”
Tommy kept staring at the papers on his desk, completely still. He didn't know what kind of response she was expecting but his mind went blank. He was about to say something when she dropped the final bomb. “He's asked me to marry him.”
It had all started about six months ago, she and Robert had been having a lot of arguments around that time.
“You promised!” She raised her voice, fed up with his attitude.
“I know babe but this is urgent.” Robert said softly, trying to pacify her but it made her angrier instead.
If you care about your ‘reputation’ then come to the event with me.” She asked one last time but only got a shake of head in return as Robert took his briefcase and left.
There at the party, [Y/N] found herself in the company of none other than Thomas Shelby, the Birmingham gangster turned businessman turned politician.
It was everything she never felt with Robert thus she became addicted.
Over time, their Pattern seemed to change. It started with simple words after they were intimate and soon she found herself spending nights in his house. It went to a point where she would see Robert maybe once in two or three weeks for a date and spend almost every other day with Tommy.
After sometime she realized that her feelings for the two men had begun to change. Tommy had become her confidant and lover. On the other hand she found herself forgetting about the dates with Robert, arriving late when he called her, zoning out when he talked to her. She was figuring out what to do when the unexpected happened.
They were lying in his bed, quietly content after a night full of activity when her lips, engaged by a sleepy mind, betrayed her. “I think… I am falling for you.” Time froze. In one swift movement, her lover had stood from the bed and had placed his robe around his shoulders. He turned his back to her, making it clear that he didn't want to talk.
She remembered how she had sat there; hurt and humiliated beyond belief. It had taken all the strength and courage that she could muster to get dressed and leave that night. That was two weeks ago.
Truth to be told, when Robert had found Tommy's waistcoat under her bed, she felt relieved. Everything would be out in the open, she could move on but once again reality turned out to be quite different than her thoughts. Robert opened up to her about his behaviour and promised to work less, be with her more and that he wanted to marry her. Before she could blink, he was down on his knee, proposing to her.
“I… I need time, Robert.”
Tommy was sitting on the couch as if he owned the place. “What. Do. You. Want?” She asked slowly, proud of the bitterness in her voice. “Tommy…”
He didn't verbally respond; calling her to him with a gesture of his hands. She wanted to shout at him but she couldn't. He made her weak. He reached up with his fingers for her left hand, his thumb brushing over the diamond that sat there.
On the night of our engagement party?” Robert questioned incredulously. They were interrupted by some other guests and they easily fell into the conversation, saving [Y/N] from trying to come up with more lies.
“How are you doing, Walker?” another voice interrupted the couple. Robert cursed seeing the person who disturbed his conversation with his fiancèe.
“How did you even enter Shelby? This is an invitation only party so kindly leave.”
Thomas smirked, raising his closed fist over [Y/N]'s glass of champagne. One by one he uncurled his fingers, dropping something small and shiny. Robert had a look of confusion and shock on his features as he realized that in the glass was [Y/N]'s engagement ring.
“I know I wasn't invited Walker, but I am here to collect what's mine… don't look so shocked. She hasn't been yours for a while.”
Before she could think, Robert punched Thomas, hard… and a fight started between the two. Robert's parents changed the topic and sent the guests on their way to save their image of respectful people. It wasn't until [Y/N] physically pulled Tommy back that he stopped. Even though Robert was a few centimetres taller than Tommy, he was no match for his muscles and strength.
“When did this… this thing start? Tell me everything, [Y/N]… honestly this time.” Robert pleaded.
“Six months ago. I was angry at you and I know it is wrong but… when I did go to the party, alone, no one paid any attention to me. Didn't even greet me with a simple ‘hello’. I felt as though I was only someone if I was with you. I felt so worthless. Tommy was at the party. He annoyed me and I took my anger out on him… I don't know how but the next thing I remember is kissing him; one thing lead to another and here we are… I am sorry Robert. I don't deserve you.”
Robert scoffed. He left immediately after throwing the ring down. His mouth did not say a word but his eyes conveyed the anger and hurt he was feeling.
[Y/N] turned to Tommy. “Well. It was a long day. Thank you for ruining my engagement party. Now I think we should go.” She stood from her chair but Tommy pulled her back by her wrist, making her sit on his lap.

Cursive words made their way across the document as he led the pen from left to right, every movement a study in perfection. A famous business man like Thomas Shelby who hid his real business behind that of gin production and bookmaking, couldn't afford anything less than perfection. Note - this is just a self indulgent silly little drabble written in just fifteen minutes because of the stress overload I was feeling.
Imagine, boyfriend!Bucky surprising you.
Word count - 365 words.
-
“Wow.” You heard your boyfriend's voice from the door of your bedroom as you finished getting ready. He was trying to be discreet but you could hear his words loud and clear as he said something along the line, “I think I have died because heaven is in front of me.”
“Same feelings, baby. You're my favourite view too.” You replied laughing-ly. Bucky continued to gaze at you like you have hung the moon. Honestly, it was the same thing for you too. You always harboured a crush on him but didn't say anything because apparently Bucky and you were not ‘compatible’ in your words. Unknown to you, the super soldier felt the same.
It wasn't until Christmas, three months ago, that he acted on his feelings after seeing Sam flirting with you. At first you felt taken aback by his advances but Sam convinced you to act along because he was tired of Bucky's sulking every time he saw you but would refuse to ask you out.
Surprisingly, on your part and unsurprisingly, on Sam's part, the high school trick of making your crush jealous worked. Now here you guys were, just three months later and already in love.
“Do you have something for me, sarge?”
“Uhh. Actually… yes.” He replied, rubbing the back of his head.
You were about to ask him what he brought when you felt something soft and kinda wet near your ankles. Looking down you locked eyes with the snowy little creature. “Woof!” The puppy barked, wagging its tail happily.
“I hope you don't mind but this little one was suffering out there. I couldn't leave it all alone and scared.” He tried to explain nervously. You didn't say anything, just picked up the puppy and placed a chaste kiss on your boyfriend's cheek. “I like him.”
“It's a girl. Thought she would keep you company when I have to leave for missions.” The man smiled, feeling proud of himself.
