I went to @wolseleywool yesterday for a class with @sunflowerknit and came home with a giant glorious batt of fibre. Now I wish I had eight arms so I can do ALL the things πππ #knittingandspinningandweavingohmy! (at Winnipeg, Manitoba)
Saturday morning π (at Winnipeg, Manitoba)
Some days you end the day and feel like you did nothing. Other days you make crackers from scratch. Because Brie cheese and roasted garlic. Happy Friday folks!! π (at Winnipeg, Manitoba)
Since summer began fading I've had a long list of knitting to keep us all warm and toasty. While I still have knits on my docket I'm hoping to make more time for weaving. #weavingwednesday (at Winnipeg, Manitoba)

Almost done these mittens. And almost done listening to Christmas music ππΆ I'm knitting an alpaca/silk blend to line these mittens and it feels so nice πππ (at Winnipeg, Manitoba)
I'm not one for promises or resolutions, but I do love shiny new beginnings. Or as Anne says 'Isn't it nice to think that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet?' I started last year with hope of cleaning up and redirecting myself. I worked through 8300g of yarn (roughly 83 balls of yarn) and gave away 7500g. That's 35 pounds of yarn. I still have more π± But I've done enough that I am going to start exploring in new directions. It's the freshest slate I think I've had in a long time πΏππ»πΏ Also I fixed this shirt. It sat in a pile for a year and it took me 5 minutes to fix it π Here's 2017, hoping it is full of simple, yet effective change. (at Winnipeg, Manitoba)
Happy New Year! After living here for almost a decade I saw the Fireworks for the first time. I took a photo (from much farther away) but this one is better π #Repost @mikesudomaphoto γ»γ»γ» Happy New Years everybody! Here's one from @theforkswinnipeg fireworks show earlier tonight. #theforks #fireworks #winnipegfreepress #exploremb #tourismwinnipeg #finditdowntowm #NikonD3 #everydaywpg #globalwinnipeg (at The Forks)
It's our first time 'out' for New Years Eve since... ever π πππ #seriously (at Winnipeg, Manitoba)
Goodbye 2016! I'm tidying and organizing and fixing things up before celebrations. And as good as that sounds as a New Year 'starting on a fresh slate' type of thing the truth is this is the same shit I've been trying to get done for 4 months πππ It has truly been a "slow" year as I knew it would and pronounced it would be. And as usually comes with the slow spots of life, some good reflection and redirection. Thank you for those of you who have stuck through this year with me and for those who have joined me in the midst of my trudgery. 2017 holds mystery for me and I'm excited to explore it ππ»πͺπ»π (at Winnipeg, Manitoba)
Who else is still stuffing themselves?? Today it's true Menno style with varenyky, schmaunt-fat and farmer sausage. If you like mustard on your farmer sausage you should try @smakdabmustard it's ππ»ππ»π€π» I'm so full I can barely knit these mittens I didn't quite finish in time π Somehow a half-knit gift still makes people happyπ #mustard #smakdab #christmasfood
β€π wishing you love and joy πβ€ (at Winnipeg, Manitoba)
The roast is the oven, pompoms (mostly) on the tree. Time for some Christmas cheer βπ» I'm making up some Tall Grass Christmas Punch with Manitoban made vodka. What are you drinking? (at Winnipeg, Manitoba)
As I've been knitting these stockings I've made tweaks to the design to try and improve it. This year I thought it'd be nice if it was a little wider and simple solution would be to use slightly thicker yarn. . Yup. . I better watch myself or the kids are going to think I'm playing favourites. π³π (at Winnipeg, Manitoba)
It's his very first last day of school π πΎ So I loaded him up with gifts and cheer π π (at Winnipeg, Manitoba)
A little late to the party but @daisythirteen put out an invitation to the maker community to celebrate #keepshitrealtuesday I was a little busy just #keepingmyshittogether so here I am today. I definitely know the discouragement of being inundated with pictures of perfect spaces. Clean crisp counters mocking me and my mess π I wake up most days and feel like I just hit the ground running just to get through the basics. ππ½ ππ½ Sometimes I tell myself that it won't always be like this. The five of us won't be living in 900 square feet and I won't have to wipe so many butts and noses. Sometimes I tell myself even if it never changed Ive got to remember this ππ» life is still pretty damned blessed. So. I love a good clean counter and a well organized space. But every once in awhile we've got to admit that the mess is part of life too ππΌππΌ (at Winnipeg, Manitoba)
