158-162/365: Dear Dad, I don't know if Mom recently posted these pictures or if she just stumbled upon them...but I remember this day vividly...Mom's friends from Spain came into town and as a last minute effort we went to the city to show them around NYC. 155-156/365: Dear Dad, I've realized that this grieving process is not a linear journey. I was naive to think that I can check off these stages like a to-do list. That's so far from the truth. I find myself releasing an unloading all my emotions in that therapy chair. Being vulnerable is not my cup of tea, but I find that in order to heal I have to be completely receptive to everything. While trying to get through Elizabeth Kübler-Ross's On Grief and Grieving, there was a concept of time that just 🤯 me...while we, in the physical world, are governed by time, you and our deceased loved ones are not. While it may be, hopefully, many years til I see you again....it may seem seconds in your "time"... Anyway, these photos of you and Tito Ponz pretty much sums up the comradery you had. I really found comfort in your willingness to finally open up. You might've been closed and reserved with me....but I'm glad you were able to open up to someone. Mom rarely laughs now and it may be a long time til I hear a genuine laugh from her. We've forever changed Dad and it's been really difficult and different without you...although you might've been super proud of me. You were always patient with Mom and even in her most unusual ways you still have in to her.
