"Shared dream too," he said laughing, before saying wistfully "Amy was pregnant in it."
Jo raised an eyebrow, "Sounds like a.. blast" she replied
Open
"I’ve only met terrifying old people once at a children’s park, and that was in a dream," he said, shrugging.
Jo laughed, "That's some dream"
Open
"No," Rory answered mildly. "I’m fairly certain that trees near children’s parks don’t tend towards the creepy."
"Depending on whats in the trees near children parks" Jo responded with a shrug
Open
Rory nodded. “The woods look relatively creepy,” he said, stepping off the road.
Jo laughed but nodded, "Woods always look creepy."
Open
"Maybe try along the front of the woods?" The woods were making him nostalgic for his sword - they were creepy. But he shook it away
Jo nodded, "Lets walk in a bit though, if she was anywhere along the edge, somebody would have seen her"
Open
"Good. Amy when she’s not Amy," he looked away. "Besides, with her anger, we’d just better make sure she never goes to the other side!" Rory joked, trying to bring it to a happier conversation.
Jo smiled, then stopped walking "Where do you think we should look first?" they had hit the edge of the city now
Open
"So it’s probably not," Rory sighed in relief. He didn’t even really understand what demon possession was but it was bad, and not likely to actually be what was going on with Amy. This was almost worse than being plastic.
Jo smiled, "I think your safe in that area"
Open
Rory bit his lip. “Do you think that’s what’s happening to Amy? She’s been disappearing with no memory of it…”
Jo bit her lip in thgouht for a second, "It could be" she didn't want to lie, "But there hasn't been any deaths, and usually the demon doesn't leave the city, so we would still see Amy around."
Open
"He hurt you?" Rory asked alarmed. "I don’t know much about…" He waved at her. "Your stuff, I just got a basic run down. Wait, so they take over anyone’s body?"
"It wasn't really him" Jo responded quickly, "He was possessed, and yea, they just kind of take over anyone's body and the person doesn't even know. Suddenly you've lost months at a time and your probobly the governments most wanted"
Open
"They are," Rory shuddered. "But enough about me. If you’re mostly dealing with ghosts and possessions, what’s scared you the most?"
Jo shrugged, "Possessions always freak me out, especially if it's somebody you know. I think the worst was Sam Winchester, mostly because he tried to kill me." She couldn't help but smile at the memory, it was one of the first time she had gotten to hunt.
Open
"Considering they’re only on this world if they want to take over, I’d say that having things around on the earth you don’t know about it scarier," Rory answered. "Although the weeping angels are quite scary."
Jo nodded, "They sound terrifying" she agreed
Open
"That’s still a lot bigger than I’ve ever dealt with," Rory said laughing. "It just seems so bizarre, that all those things are actually real."
Jo laughed at Rory's last comment, "Says the alien guy" she pointed out, "I thought I knew everything about the world, I guess I was really wrong."
Open
"Well, you certainly do spectacular work," Rory said, looking at her as she spoke with self-deprecation. "I know not many could or will do the work you guys do, and it seems very important, if difficult."
Jo smiled to herself then laughed, "I wish it was more difficult sometimes, my mom wont let me on any of the bigger cases. That's why I'm here actually. The regular ghosts and possessions were getting boring."
Open
"I’ve had several lives, actually. I usually don’t think about being a centurion though, although I did meet Agricola," Rory said, shrugging. "Then there’s the one before the world ended, the Roman one, and my current one. I usually stick with my current one, though. It makes things easier. Then I’m just a nurse. I have to say, you must have some very interesting stories, I mean, when I first came to town Amy told me about hunters, which was shocking, but I also see aliens most days so…"
Jo listened in amazment, but quickly snapped out of her daze when Rory stopped talking, "Well I'm glad I only have one life" then she laughed, "Hunter's aren't as spectacular as time traveling roman nurses"
Open
"Remember when I mentioned being dead and then erased from the fabric of time?" Rory asked. "Yeah, I ended up being a plastic Roman soldier imprinted from Amy’s memories or something like that, and the world ended."
"Oh, right of course" Jo responded "What was I thinking?" she responded sarcastically, then smile, "So you have had probobly the most interesting life of anybody I have met in town."
Open
"It’s happened a few times, but it is never fun when it happens," Rory answered, frowning. "Better than when I was a Roman, and couldn’t remember her, or her me, but still."
"A roman?" Jo asked, this was something she hadn't heard, "You where a Roman?"
Open
"I’ve made the promise to her every time she disappears that I will find her, and I will keep looking for her," Rory answered. "And I will not stop looking for her until she is back."
Jo smiled to herself, "That's really... nice" she lacked a better word for how cute she thought Rory's promise was
