head in my hands. head in my goddamn hands. it literally all circles back.
Oh, he'd be so annoying on social media <3
you are worthy of relationships that are reciprocal, considerate and intentional. and that isn’t limited to romantic love
(ofcourse its house saying the last line)

"Could never imagine any of that till I met you." "And now?" "Now I can see it."
I could never imagine any of that until I met you. And now? Now I can see it.
also like the gag is that dan and blair could have and WOULD HAVE been friends post-break up if she didn’t go about breaking up with him in the worst way possible and then blame him for being sexually assaulted like ?!?! dan doesn’t go insane and turn evil “because blair broke up with him” like he experiences literally back to back to back instances of extreme betrayal of trust from everyone in his life over the course of like. two nights. he tells blair very bluntly up front that she needs to just tell him if she wants to break up, and instead she goes to proclaim her love to chuck without speaking to dan at all first. while this is happening serena has multiple people in on an elaborate plan to deceive him so she can get him drunk and have sex with him and film it to use in her own personal beef with blair. THEN he finds out that his trusted beloved dad is hooking up with the girl who scammed their entire family before being fully divorced to his stepmom ? THENN the video of him being filmed while being assaulted is played at a public event ? THENNN blair tells him that it wasn’t date rape because he never said the word no ?? like i promise you the issue that prevented dan and blair being friends was not “they dated and broke up so now they have to hate each other” it’s that dan’s trust in people was like systematically destroyed concurrent with their break up and blair played a huge role in that
the fact of the matter is that hotelgate is the natural conclusion to the #chair storyline and any chair relations past that point are just bad writing by the mere fact that they exist. like as much as seasons 1-3 chair are insufferable and toxic, it unfortunately does feel realistic that blair is caught in this cycle of going back to him. when we as the audience are like “aughh WHY does she keep going back to him!” blair literally gives us the answer post-hotelgate when she says “i never thought the worst thing you’d do would be to me.” like that is exactly it. she has always known that chuck is manipulative and cruel and abusive and the reason she kept going back was because she always thought those behaviors would be aimed at someone else. other women. when blair finally reaches that conclusion that no girl he will abuse YOU TOO!!! it should have been the end. it’s literally insane that that wasn’t the end
