Today was the first time Calla had left her apartment since returning home from hospital. Her broken arm was completely healed and the lacerations on her abdomen would only need a couple more days. The explosion had stirred a lot of emotions in Calla, including ones about her arrest that she’d been attempting to ignore. It all had Calla feeling rather overwhelmed and vulnerable. The only reason she’d come out at all is because she’d become fed up of being stuck indoors, Calla had always been an outdoorsy person. She was fine, at least she thought she was until someone started following her. Speeding up Calla felt her heart begin to race as it became harder to breathe. Having to stop Calla watched as her ‘stalker’ walked right on by paying no attention to her at all. Finally able to catch her breath Calla jumped when she felt a hand on her shoulder.
“You know, you think one such as yourself would be able to pick out the ones that are actually following you. I think you ought to work on this a bit more,” Joanna said, raising a hand to tap her own nose.
