Stools of the trade
Still crushin' it. Shiplap wainscoting Homemade stool Extension jambs Rake and homemade top cap
Now I don’t claim to be an engineer or a carpenter, but this looks like a faulty door to me. In the top photo you can clearly see that the jamb header is shorter than the width of the actual door. All the below photos are pictures of the supporting measurements at top and bottom (jamb-to-jamb). I banged the non-hinge side jamb apart so that I could get this thing swinging on the day of install. I had no choice with the previous door sawn to bits, day time coming to end, and a toddler running through the house. Everything is plumb square and level. I really don’t want to complain to my local yard since the expedited the custom door, gave me a good price, and got a contractor discount… but wtf.
