My first handspun yarn makes a gorgeous blanket for my gorgeous dog.
I baked this from scratch, crust and all. It is very yummy. It was also so cheap it could be added in cents.
The more I read, the more I value this book. Adam has advice for makers of any discipline or experience level. I have been at it longer, and do a lot of these strategies, but yet he still gives me insight and helps me fine tune my work flow.
I quite like this wool. It has a nice hand. Very drapey but strong. Both fluffy and defined. It is prepped worsted but extremely curly. Not crimpy, curly. The finished yarn lies in a very relaxed manner without being loosely spun.
This is my hat. I made it. I live it. Especially the tassle instead of a pom pom. It feels more adult. It is alpaca wool blend doubled fabric and very cozy. I spun my own yarn. If I made more of these, what would you pay?
Why I am not motivated to learn to diz.
How to get all that barn hay (VM vegetable matter) out of the fleece? Wool combs. You get a lot of waste wool for insulation or stuffing.
Wool you look at all that filth. Cheap fleeces cost time and effort instead. However, they are extremely accessible to lower income crafters with a good work ethic. This is one seventh of the total wool I need to wash. Later, it will be about the hackles and combs and carding. I feel wealthy, though, with so much work to keep me busy.
Tatted fancy work. I need time to create again. It's been too long.
My tatted lace on a vintage linen handkerchief.
Vintage linen handkerchief with hardanger embroidery and damaged lace.
Vintage 40s era linen and embroidery handkerchief, with 1985 cotton tatting by yours truly. Needs ironing.
It's done. You can't see a flying bee's wings, only a hint of motion blur.

QUEEN SHIT OH MY GOD
(by the way if you’re a terf reblogging this because it mentions women, get fucked and choke, I don’t want you here and I run through the notes on the daily blocking people, I cannot stress how unfriendly a place this is for you)
Hehehe, this has me giggling so hard. She p0wned them hard!
A small bird climbed with four limbs to the top of a snow drift then used his entire body array of feathers to jump itself enough to fly.
i unironically believe electricity is the closest thing we have to magic in this universe. consider:
it's basically what human "souls" are made of (your consciousness is the result of miniscule amounts of electric charge jumping between neurons in your brain)
when handled incorrectly or encountered in the wild, it is a deadly force that can kill you in at least half a dozen different ways
when treated respectfully and channeled into the proper conduits, it is a power source that forms the backbone of modern society
if you engrave the right sigils into a rock and channel electricity into it, you can make the rock think
there is a dedicated caste of mages (electrical engineers) tasked with researching it in ivory towers
whatever the fuck Galvani was doing with those frog legs
look at this and just try to tell me it isn't a kind of summoning circle
I can almost read that schematic. If I tried harder and looked up a couple things, I could!
