"There is a big problem with men and alcohol here, we were not allowed to work, we were beat, raped, and there were a few deaths years back. Sasha changed that for us, they took us in and gave us a place to stay." When Sasha first started they had 3 employees, 5 machines. They now have 55 machines and 35 employees which also means 35 family's safety in these parts.
Our recent trip to India proved to be full of stories with this one catching my eye walking through a local village and saw a factory with the employees working very hard, we didn’t know much at the time about India’s sweatshop situation so I popped my head in and a very generous married couple invited us in, bought us lunch and explained everything about the fair trade and unfair trade when it comes to India’s factories. We spoke about politics, cultures and our history. At the end they took me for a tour and invited me to take some photos, I was simply amazed by the opportunity we had popped my head into.
