"Savage little spitfire.” Nate said smirking a little. He raised an eyebrow when he noticed the change in her expression when he teased her about her hunting. A few more taunts and he could have easily managed to cross the line which would make her actually angry with him, but then, Nate didn’t have a death wish. For a couple of seconds he wasn’t sure what to say to her question, his remark had been casual, and he hadn’t expected her to dwell on it. He didn’t think he could ever intentionally hurt her in anyway, not really. But with Joey, nothing was ever so simple. “I don’t believe it would ever come to that.” he said, clearly evading her question. “And I also strongly believe that you are in complete denial about how charming you find me.” he added, his smile returning to his face. “There are many things which make us different, not just that. But I like to think we are the same in certain ways.” He nodded when she asked about the drink, quite glad that she was so willing to spend more time with him though he was quite convinced the actual reason for it was the alcohol and not him. “Let’s get going then.” he said gesturing in the direction towards town and holding out his hand in a manner of daring her to take it.

"I can live with that." Joey couldn't help but mirror his smirk with a faint one of her own. She pushed her body off the ground, tilting her head to the side as her gaze wandered the forest. "The time to hunt has passed regardless." The girl added, brushing the dirt off her pants despite the stains that decorated the fabric she was wearing. She didn't care if she was a mess, it was all apart of who she was. Her anger faded slightly, though her eyes remained narrow in thought. "You think so highly of me," she teased. "Nope, not in denial about anything," Joey shook her head, raising an eyebrow. "In what ways? The way that we share the same species and live off the land more than your common man?" She asked, and looked down at his hand in confusion. "This isn't a date, you can just lead the way like a normal person."
