Fully prehensile charger cable "tail" usually retracts inside body, up the base of the spine. Connector at the tip can restructure and adapt to most available power sources.
Adder is, for want of a better term, a pain in the ass. She has a strong sense of anti-authoritarianism and is all too quick to take issue with anyone or anything she perceives as bossing her around.
Her crude and rude personality made her a dominant figure amongst several criminal circles, never shying away from a job that allowed her to go wild on her enemies. Her preferred method of tackling a problem is to yell, fill it with SMG rounds, and walk away bleeding.

Due to several specialist subdermal implants and organ augmentations, Adder has become almost impervious to damage. In fact, she gets very... excited, at the idea (and reality) of getting shot at and hit. It's euphoric to her, and she channels this into a berserk state of getting off on tanking hits for her teammates. This can be a risk when she gets a little too into it.
Her wild abandon to reach this state can entirely compromise a lot of missions in which her squad don't prepare to deal with her usual bullshit, but she is very effective when the mission suits this part of her.
She is a somewhat-frequent customer of Nicole Verdas, while not getting along well with the professionalism of Jack. While Jack and Adder are both rude and crass when not working, Adder is like this on the job as well.
The Medium is an infinite plane that exists between all worlds, not a planet but a single flat realm that stretches on forever, connected by rifts that appear in the perpetually purple sky that twinkle like stars. They pull in and deposit debris from countless alternate dimensions, each connected to a unique location across all multiverses. They can appear naturally, or as the result of experimentation with dimensional travel gone awry.
One such portal opened and dragged in a large number of small, defenseless slimes from a fairly ordinary fantasy world. Due to their squishy bodies and resilient nature, the slimes survived the fall from the rift, unusual for lifeforms that fall through to the far side. As a survival instinct, over time they combined into a single gigantic entity, for safety and improved odds of survival in this unfamiliar world.

The Mother Slime is enigmatic in nature, perhaps due to the melding of memories and experiences of all its constituent members. A few hundred slime cores exist throughout the main body, cooperating as a single lifeform.
It adorns itself with ruins from other civilisations that fell through rifts in the sky, which provide protection for falling debris and a shell to hide behind in case of emergency. This mantle is made of a mixture of materials, scavenged from civilisations that range from primitive to advanced.
The Mother Slime feeds by "grazing" across the plains of The Medium, its large blanket of "hair" spreading out to form an immense net behind it as it wanders. This net traps other creatures such as bugs and birds, which are ingested in place by the slime.
Though it has no way of communicating with smaller lifeforms such as human explorers, it will separate individuals from the central mass to act as regular-sized envoys, which are more like the natural size of the slimes before their fusion. These single slimes retain knowledge and memories of the Mother, and so are able to communicate on its behalf, as well as travel The Medium to gather information and return to deposit it into the collective once more. It is not uncommon for such separate individuals to accompany humans and other Medium-dwellers on their travels, as it seems the Mother has spent an extensive amount of time living in and collecting records on the layout and features of the plane.
It is capable of reproduction and producing offspring, which will be sent out to learn and experience the world on their own. It has earned the title of Mother by allowing its species to live on, no matter what disasters may have befallen its original world.
