The Avro Anson was a British twin-engine, multi-role aircraft used extensively during World War II.
Role: Initially designed for maritime reconnaissance, it later became a staple trainer for Allied aircrew.
Production: Developed from the Avro 652 airliner, over 11,000 units were built between the 1930s and 1952.
Specifications: It had a maximum speed of 188 mph and a wingspan of 56 ft 6 in.
Survivor: The aircraft in the image may be the world's only airworthy Avro Anson Mk. I, serial MH120.
