Inspired
One of the most memorable childhood memory I have is the time when I have to give up my first ever dog because no one will be able to take care of it because my mother had to go to work. I remember my mother talking to me about giving the dog back to my aunt and I remember clearly what she said to me “Mas mabubuhay sya don, kung talagang mahal mo sya palayain mo na sya.”. This was the first life lesson, as far as I remember, that I was thought. Of course, I had no choice but to give up my dog and time went by but what my mother said stayed in me. I remembered it very clearly in situations I needed it. This is just one of the lessons my mother has taught me. There’s just too many to mention. I grew up without my father because he had to work abroad to provide for our family so my mother was the only one I had growing up. She became my inspiration because I saw how much she has sacrificed for our family. She graduated as the class valedictorian when she was in high school but she had to sacrifice her dream of being a lawyer because she had to work as a maid for her aunt in Manila because before she could even graduate her mother passed away. She also did not get the chance to take the civil engineering licensure examination because she chose to love my father and stay at home to take care of my eldest sister.
Every time I hear my mother’s story I always get inspired and try to do my best in everything so that I can give her the best life she deserves. I want to let her experience a life where she does not have to sacrifice anything, a life where she just has to live happily with my father and our family. Where she could rest and do what she loves to do. A life with no pain and anxieties.
In everything I do, I always think of my mother and she will always be a huge part of my life. I will do everything I can to give her everything she deserves because she deserves all the happiness in the world
I won't apologize for who I am

INDEED.
You are a sinner!
A sentence often thrown at people whose only sin was to love. How can love be wrong? How can society judge people that only want to pursue happiness?
Members of the LGBTQIA+ Community are often discriminated, because according to many people, what they are doing is a sin to God. For most people, being a homosexual is definitely wrong and there is nothing to debate about it. Even members of the government especially here in the Philippines believe that it is indeed a sin to be a member of the said community and because of this, they are doing their best to not let the SOGIE Bill become a law. Most citizens are misinformed about this bill and think that only the LGBTQIA+ members will benefit from it. But in fact, even straight people will benefit from the bill because the bill states that discrimination based on ones SOGIE shall not be experienced by anyone. but sadly the Philippines and its government still have a long way to go because even after several tries, the bill has still not passed through the senate. One reason that arises every time the bill is trashed is that it may be used to legalize “same-sex marriage” which is strongly opposed by many.
