(giddy) i love love love love love the idea of supernatural powers being so inherently tied to a character that they relate to emotion and state of being and this is so so so important to me with aspects okay

i’m totally gonna write more about this later but CONSIDER:::

wind picking up when john’s upset, pushing others back when he needs space, his body disintegrating into air when he feels upset or unsafe or unable to handle the situation or just depressed in general… like literally fading away! knocking over everything when he feels like things are spiraling out of control or corralling everything all in one place

rose’s eyes glowing BRIGHT with strong emotion, her luck depending on her mental state, ability to See or WHAT she sees depending on her mental state, literally/symbolically acting as a glowing beacon of hope in her best moments, literal light guiding her to what she needs to find when she’s down, or guiding others when they need it, embodying a glow that draws others attention, embodying a glow so bright it’s scary and blinding and wrong, surrounded by light so bright she cant see anything else, everything in her vision is glowing..

jade displacing slightly in space with irritation or emotion, displacing objects around her or slightly modifying their sizes, accidentally blipping other people away when she wants to be left alone, accidentally blipping HERSELF away, ending up where she wants to be unconsciously, objects manipulated around her to broadcast inner desires (i.e. surrounding someone if she doesn’t want them to leave, walling them off if she doesn’t want to see them)

dave having visions of the past or future when stressed, time slowing down or speeding up perceptually for him, accidentally time hopping i.e ontological paradox(the fic) where he effectively mentally swaps places with a version of his past/future self and just has to deal with it for a bit, accidentally perceiving his friends or surroundings as versions from another timeline, accidentally manipulating the time of objects around him (rotting food, rusting metal, breaking things down to their component parts)…

DOESANYONE ELSE GO CRAZY OVER THIS STUFF? elemental powers deeply ingrained into a person’s being make me go CRAZY.
