Modern band of the day No.9:Royal blood Fantastic riffage Ă la Queens of the Stone Age. This Brighton (Drummer and bassist) duo create a massive sound with the use of effect pedals and drum triggers.
Modern band of the day No.8: Wolf Alice I have no idea how to describe this band, folk-grunge? Indie?
Modern band of the day no.7 Nova twins This punks duo are reminiscent of spaces with their potent grime influenced punk rock.

Modern band of the day no.6:Pissed jeans Back to basics mid tempo grunge-blues. Need any more be said?
Modern band of the day No.6: Frank Carter and the rattlesnakes. I love the album blossom by this band, in my opinion their their last album is a more polished sound but they have lost the aggression
Modern band of the day No.5 Radkey. To be honest I didnât love this band when I first heard them because I didnât really like the singers voice but after listening to the misfits a lot and QTSA, I learned to love it.
Modern band of the day No.4: Slaves The spirit of 70s British punk is kept alive by this band. The singer/standing up drummer and guitarist duo are able to cover any song and make it sound awesome. Iâd check out their cover of skeptaâs shutdown for an example of this.

In regards to other songs, the title track of Irrational anthems was my introduction to them and slaves is awesome too but neither of them are on YouTube. Bâorn again cynicâ and âbombs awayâ are also awesome and on YouTube. My two best mates are actually in the audience of the born again cynic video. They both have beards and one of them is ginger with glasses

Thatâs awesome! Theyâre a local band but the Music press here in Ireland donât really care about our punk/metal scenes so they get no coverage. Their second album âIrrational anthems was released in June and itâs awesome.
Hole are super underrated, Violet is my jam.
