"The only perk about having a young step mother is her friends are so hot."
“Donny?” Johnny’s brows furrowed together and he laughed slightly. “I don’t mean to brag but I am a bit of one.” The boy shrugged, by now he should have had some sort of idea of what he wanted to do with his life, but he didn’t. “I’m not sure. It’s a hobby for right now.” Johnny decided. “I think it’s cool how they code the robotics. It’s just a stupid thing all together.”
“I don’t scare easily but you can try.”
“Well, I can show you the way around here. If you needed a bit of a guide.” He smiled. “You should remember be me because I don’t have an American accent. It’s my nickname actually, but you can call me Johnny. It’s nice to meet you.” He nodded as he probably would have done the same in her position. “That’s one way to get noticed.”
“That makes sense.” As he’s seen the chunky laptop the school provided for the teachers. “I think every one struggles when we don’t have our own laptops. Unless you are talking about struggling in a different way?” Johnny said with a shrug. “You can go wrong with those.” The boy nodded, as his sweet tooth kicked in. If his sweets don’t have chocolate he didn’t eat it. “They need more chocolate in them.” He told her. Then again, it wasn’t his class so who was he to say what was best to make. “I’m sure they will be a hit though.”
Johnny chuckled slightly, as he could see right through his friend. “I hate you too.” He laughed along with Donny. “Same with me, or I wouldn’t be sitting alone.” Johnny glanced at the empty table he sat at. “Geez, I’m not that much older than you.”
“Oh that blog.” Johnny said with a nod. He may have read it once or twice, but he didn’t care to look at it often. “I may have seen that one.” He told her, with a smile. “Yeah, I think it does.”
“YouTube. I taught myself which made it a lot harder.” Johnny expressed, as he finished typing the long code into the html box. “Yeah, it is.” A laugh escaped his lips, he’d never do robotics. He always thought the kids in the club were pretentious assholes and Johnny wasn’t one of them. “Nope.”
“I’ll leave you alone, but don’t tell me to shut my mouth.”
“Yeah, we should.” Johnny agreed as he bit his lip. “Alright, let me know when you are done. I’m not working on anything school related so I’m good to go whenever.” He explained as he stopped typing and pressed the preview button to see the progress he was making on his code. “Just doing some coding.”
“Well firstly you don’t have to sass me?”
“’M not sassing you.”
“Aye, I’m just being honest with you. Should I lie the next time you end up in a strange location?”
“But it was fun.”
“Because I’ll say please and buy you something from the vending machine?”
“That’s a very tempting offer, but I’m not hungry. Maybe something else will do the trick.”
Johnny enjoyed being in the company of the teacher he fancied. It was nice seeing a side of her, he never got to see when she teaches. In class every once in a while he did find her jokes bring a small chuckle to his lips.
“Do you keep this one at school?” He asked, curiously. Johnny wanted to do something nice for her since he was trying to impress her. “If you do change your mind and want a faster server I can do that for you.” Johnny told her. His eyes glanced over to the computer and pointed to a dish cookie dish on the screen. “That looks good.”
“Why am I even bothering with you?” Johnny said aloud, taken back by her actions. At times he knew he could be a bit of a jerk, but not a big enough one for someone to do this to him. “I didn’t even do anything. Is something wrong with you?”
“Yeah, that’s lame. What are her opinions on? I’ve never even heard of gossip girl. I don’t read the paper.” He told her. “You seem like a good Nora,”
