My time in college

This week we’ve begun a self directed project. My piece at this moment is about the death toll in Syria over the past 31months.

The toll has exceeded 100,000 and I am sure that not everyone is aware of this.

I’d like to do a project that brings this number alive in a creative way.

I’ll update this space as my work on this continues.

The other day on tv during a commercial break, a concern campaign came on.

The campaign mentioned that 19,000 people die each day from hunger. So I decided to look that up because I felt it was a staggering amount of deaths. I searched it and United Nations facts came up, the facts read that 21,000 people die everyday from hunger or hunger related causes. One person every 4 seconds.

Information and responsibility.

I remember spending 3 weeks in France learning about globalisation and many things associated with that. Homes being destroyed, land being taken, families being separated, workers being under paid and many many more things.
