Makarov headcanons for my AU!!
TW: mental disorder
Makarov might have some form of SzPD (Schizoid personality disorder). He doesn't interested in friendship & romantic relationships (he married Masha and had a kid with her just because he was raised in conservative views, he wasn't really interested in his family and most of the time spent on duty);
Makarov also doesn't show his own emotions much, you can't tell if he's happy or pissed off; because of that, he expresses his emotions through violence.
Makarov prefers spending his free time alone - planning, reading, anything that doesn't include social interaction, BUT he still can be the leader, interact with people (doesn't mean he enjoys it, tho).
i don't think he really counted Yuri as his friend, he was simply convenient to Makarov because of his loyalty and trust.
Makarov didn't kill Yura in airport (Vladimir just could shot him anywhere else to kill, but he shot him somewhere in the side???) not because he didn't want, but because he wanted him to suffer first (maybe Vladimir just didn't think Yuri might survive).
Makarov also hasn't ever visited a psychiatrist, simply because he didn't consider it necessary and believed that acknowledging his own problem was a sign of weakness.
He also has low empathy (he can read other people's emotions, but he doesn't empathize with them).
