We’ve launched a small, but commonly requested, improvement to our dashboard. 

For prospective members, the profile page is how they learn more about your organization. For Join It users, grabbing their profile page URL used to take a few steps (either navigating to ‘Profile’ > ‘View Profile’, or clicking the avatar in the header, and then copying the URL from the browser) and wasn’t entirely intuitive. 

So, now we’ve included the URL that you can send to prospective members right in your Dashboard.

We've added the ability to add your Facebook and Twitter links to your Join It profile. It's a simple addition and it's just another way that we make it easy for Organizations to express themselves on their profile. We believe that the communities that we build and participate in define us -- so our mission at Join It is to make it simple for you to manage your membership organization. Another exciting update for Join It! We've made it much easier for you to invite new Members to your Organization with our new Invite Tool. Forget copy and pasting all of your information into a separate email (did you remember to include the new Membership Prices? How about the Mission Statement?!) -- use our new invitation to send them all of the Organization's infomation and let them sign up on the spot. We're excited to announce that we've launched a brand new profile so that Organizations can have a landing page that puts their 'best foot forward' for potential new members. Most Organizations probably have their own website, but for the ones that are just getting started -- this new profile provides more than just the functionality of collecting Membership Dues! Update: We’ve added the ability for Users to add a photo to represent their Organization! This is a small improvement, but it helps Organizations further define their profiles to represent them.

Who we are @ Join It

Our micro-communities define who we are. Work and other responsibilities are necessary, but when we finally land a few spare minutes, how we choose to spend our time is the real “us”. At least that’s how we feel at JoinIt. From college clubs to triathlons and volunteering, we were always busy participating, organizing, and leading small communities of shared interests. The communities varied in their degree of organization, however; some were small, efficient interest-monopolies while others were more like a group of like-minded people drinking a little too much, a little too often.

A common theme was shared among all our organizations: there were headaches. Paying dues, keeping calendars up to date, and staying connected were always annoying, but the friction was felt the most in leadership roles. That’s why we made JoinIt. Eliminate the maintenance. We want all organizations to focus on their value, not spending hours updating member lists. We are passionate about our micro-communities and want to build tools that enable like-minded people to be the same.

So that brings us to now. JoinIt is here to help you run your group. We will focus on the biggest headaches first, with plenty of more to come.
