I dont know about you but im seriously obsessed with how some of the newer movies to come out this and last year all focus on such simple life lessons or themes but perfectly put it into film that it feels like a breath of fresh air.

Superman and the theme of being “human”

Iron Lung and the idea of sacrificing your life for a cause bigger than yourself

And Project Hail Mary with the power of friendship.

Each of these also having SOOO much in common. Every character sacrificing themselves for good, reminding the audience what it means to be human and the need for connection and compassion.

Literally just got finished watching PHM for the second time in theaters and can i just say i felt the exact joy, whimsy and childhood-like euphoria that i felt when i watched it the first time

Seriously this movie went above and beyond and is genuinely one of the best movies i think i will see this year

Looking back on ep 8 i genuinely felt like a pit in stomach when I realized that its actually so terrifying to know that the Jax’s whole persona and “character” he created in the circus got stripped away so quickly and all it revealed was a bare layer- i interpret that as him working so hard on keeping this front of being the “mean” and “funny” one that he completely lost sight of who he was- to the point where he cant even express himself anymore both physically and emotionally.

Genuinely not being able to see his expression anymore because his skin got torn off was so scary to me because you just KNOW hes absolutely terrified but hes physically unable to show it, yet, you can still feel the fear he has.

Ryland Grace is probably the most accurate representation of how I would personally react if i was a science teacher pulled into a government secret operation and then forced into going to space by an induced coma and waking up not remembering anything and realizing your the only one who survived and became friends with a mysterious alien and saved your worlds together
