‘irreplaceable’ by beyoncé is not only still a banger almost a decade later but it’s also probably the most complex analysis of social and economic systems ever done and better than most studies in media and academia on the subject… like first she goes “to the left, to the left, everything you own in the box to the left” which is clearly highlighting a socialist approach but then she goes “in the closet that’s my stuff, yes, if i bought it then please don’t touch” shifting instantly to a capitalist posture, which is a clear comment on the latent hypocrisy of the westen world in which socialism is highly romanticized but not actually pursued.
