"Gon, you need to calm your friend down..."
Three deaths was good and all, but it would be much more entertaining if he got to watch them. Well, hopefully watching Killua get angry would make up for the boredom. Otherwise he'd have to find someone for himself to play with.
Jokers Don't Joke [Emil & Hisoka]
Ambush- a word that Emil didn’t really like. Neither the definition or the reason behind it. Anyone who ambushed someone or attacked from behind was a coward (he had no right to say this as he’s done both before), but even so he just did not like it. So as the Knight walked through the Cafeteria to prepare some food for everyone else he felt a presence. The most undesirable presence at that. Hearing something slice through the wind, the blond quickly bolted to the left, only getting a small cut on his cheek from the ‘weapon’. He noticed it was a card and, had he still had Ratatosk’s powers- his eyes would have turned red. Instead, he turned around with a disdainful look on his face and spoke to the offender.
"Was that really necessary, Hisoka?"
People here really did excite him, no matter what way you looked at them they had exciting potential. Pushed to the limits of their sanity in a place full of murder, and twisted games. What better playground to find himself in than this one? He still had yet to find any perfect 100's. But there were exciting people. This boy was one of them. His movements were quick, a simple slice to the boy's cheek, amusement in his golden eyes as he looked for an exciting reaction. And... Didn't receive one...
Ah... "It was quite necessary. You don't expect me to simply avoid saying 'hello' do you?" Of course he could have said hello in a more 'normal' greeting, but where was the fun in that? The card's edge lifted to press lightly against his lips.
Always the one to keep running his mouth. Illumi wasn’t concerned in the slightest; this didn’t seem any different nor any more difficult than the extensive training he’s been through his entire life. It was just another game.
—➳—» “Fun… Just how many people have caught your eye in this place?” If there ever was any emotion in his tone, Illumi would be expressing disgust right about now.
He quietly started to count on his fingers. Pausing when he reached three. There was no point in even pretending to count anyway. Far too many people here he found interesting. Everything from the little game they played when he first arrived, to what he knew while in the trials.
"I'm not quite sure, actually. There are a lot though." An amused smile rested on his features. Oh, but there was one little tidbit that he was sure Illumi would completely enjoy! "It seems Killua's already killed to get his powers back. Even going so far as to sacrifice his friends in the trial~" Well friend and his younger brother.
Magic Show {Open}
How long had he been observing people now? Surely he had a few, very minor interactions, but most of his time was watching, studying, and planning. There were far too many toys here to just let them all go to waste. Ah... Now was the time to get more social. Sitting around and observing only got you so far. You had to get up close and meet people and learn about them that way to fully sate any interest you had in them.
The candied apple swayed back and forth dangling on the end of a stick. A card was held in his other hand, eyes fixed on the joker for a long time. Eyes drifted away the second he felt someone lingering nearby. Quickly the direction altered, heading towards the person. Once he got closer a loud crunch came from the apple and he allowed a friendly smile to slip over his face.
"Do you like magic tricks?"
The question was surprisingly calm, and no malice could be from the unusual, almost clown like man.
—➳—» “… Close enough.” He looks down at his hands, before rolling his shoulders into a small shrug. "It’d be nice to get my nen and needles back, so looks like an assassination… is in order." He won’t add the "… or two, or three, or perhaps many more” into that comment.
Well, even without powers or weapons, it wasn't to hard for either of them to kill, so it probably didn't make too much of a difference, even if it would be 'nice' or not.
"Ah, you should be careful though. There seem to be a lot of fun people around." Of course he wasn't worried, Illumi could handle himself after all.
“ Then, by extension, I should not trust you, either. ”
"That is probably the best assumption you could make~"
—➳—» “Splendid to see you again. Although, I’m not getting paid for any assassinations I perform here, which is rather disappointing.” Not that he didn’t particularly have a problem with assassinating anyone in the first place.
Oh, right, that was where they differed. As long as it was fun for him, he didn't really care if there was money or not. "Well, you can think of weapons and powers as payment, if you need motivation."
“ I have come to appreciate a certain sense of stability in my life, but your words hold the truth. If only under a different set of circumstances, this might not impose such a feeling of dread. ”
"Hm, I suppose that is a problem isn't it? Ah, you should definitely be careful. Even the most innocent looking people here can be quite deadly from my experiences."
—➳—» Oh look, this guy’s here. Fantastic. "Hisoka."
"My, my. It's nice of you to join us here~" If I didn't know better, that almost sounded like you didn't want me here.
Imagine the irony. Jem himself could very well be considered a killer, though not a murderer or human kind.
“ And you consider that something to look forward to? ”
He didn't seem too phased by the idea. How interesting... "Well, in some ways. Meeting new, and very entertaining people is certainly worth looking forward to." He put on the most pleasant smile he could manage. "It does give you new experiences to test."
“ I do not suppose there is much of a silver lining behind the premise of this school, is there? ”
"Well, you get to meet any number of interesting people. And there's the opportunity to get out there and expand your horizons. Even make friends of people who could, quite possibly become killers soon~ Assuming they're not already."
Oh look, someone he knows that doesn't seem to completely hate him.
-..you are not even a member anymore…*hic*
—★—» “Yeah! He’s a very very great person and I love him so!”
——» { touch him and i swear on me mum i’ll (knife) ye }
"Well, it's a good thing you love your brother so much. I hope he takes really good care of you." Oh come now, I'm here to make friendly small talk.
