JoshLia’s New OPPO F9 in the Queen City of the South?

A billboard of the new OPPO F9 has just been revealed along Pres. Osmeña Blvd., Cebu City, still with the OPPO ambassadors, Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto. The features of this new OPPO smartphone are almost similar than the current OPPO F7. The F9 still got a 25-megapixel front camera for great selfies, a 16-megapixel dual back camera for great photography insode and out. When it comes to storage capacity, the F9 will have its capacity of 128GB. For the battery capacity, the F9 would get a powerful 3,500 maH good for more than 1 1/2 to 2 days of battery life usage. 

As you have noticed, the new F9 will get the newest charging technology called VOOC. It will enable a 2-hour talk time and its fastest charging time interval in just five minutes. 

An additional F9 lineup would be also introduced and this is what we call the F9 Pro. Its additional features and specifications are more expandable than the regular ones, but for the battery capacity, it will be the same capacity as the current F7. No words yet for the OPPO Philippines if the F9 will bring the entry-level variant called the F9 Youth.

For the pricing, as to tentative, the new F9 ranges from PhP19,990-21,990 and for the top-of-the-line F9 Pro will be reaching a PhP25,000 range.

JoshLia awaits the Cebuanos on the 2nd week of July

Last December 22, 2016, Star Cinema handles the promo tour of Vince and Kath and James as an official entry to the 42nd Metro Manila Film Festival. One of the guests, namely Maris Racal and Julia Barretto, awaited the fans at the Mountain Wing Atrium of the SM Seaside City Cebu, in South Road Properties, Cebu City. Julia visited the Queen City of the South for the very first time just for a promo tour to showcase and promote the movie to the Cebuanos, according to the regional specialist of Star Cinema, Josie Pereyra. Joshua Garcia wasn’t able to join this event. 

23 days later, she revisited the city to give entertainment to the Cebuanos, for the last year’s Sinulog Kapamilya Caravan held at the Terraces, Ayala Center Cebu with her co-stars of the former drama series “A Love to Last,” namely Enchong Dee and Bea Alonzo. Also on attendance with the casts of the current action drama series, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, Onyok Pineda, Awra Briguela, and the role portrayed as Cardo, Coco Martin. 

And this year, not just one, but two Cebu events to look forward for Star Cinema’s 25th Anniversary offering, “I Love You, Hater.” 

The first ILYH Cebu event that you shouldn’t miss is the much-awaited promo tour. But before that, a series of media activities will held on that day. First one is the the radio visit to promote the movie between the the two and the radio listeners at the ABS-CBN Cebu Complex, North Road, Jagobiao, Mandaue City, at the early afternoon. The Cebu Media Press Conference will follow with the Star Cinema Team and its regional specialist, the Cebu media and the main casts, 2:30 PM. The venue will be anounced by the Advertising and Promotions Team of this film. And at 4:00 PM, JoshLia awaits the fans for the main event at the Main Atrium, Robinson’s Galleria Cebu. Admission is free at charge and to those who want to avail the VIP slots, a moviecard is required to purchase at a cost of P210.00-P230.00. For more inquiries and details, you may visit the social media accounts of the said establishment. The VIP slots are on “first-come, first-serve” basis. 

And six days later, Team JoshLia handles the blockscreening at the Director’s Club, SM Seaside City Cebu at 5:00 PM together with the fan bases of Joshua, Julia and JoshLia. There’s no word yet if Joshua and Julia will revisit the city just for this 2nd ILYH Cebu event and to bond the Cebuano fans of themselves.

“I Love You, Hater” is a rom-com movie that tells about loving and affection between Joko (Joshua) and Zoey (Julia) and the chief of Empire Publishing, Sasha Imperial (portrayed the role by Kris Aquino), and its behavior and characteristics. This movie is under direction of Giselle Andres and expected to roll out in cinemas nationwide beginning July 11th with a premiere screening on July 10 at the SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City, 7:00 PM and various international screenings in the United States, Australia and New Zealand, parts of the Middle East and some parts of Asia and Europe beginning mid-July.

JoshLia, on the road to “Aloha”

Five to six more days to go, the on-screen couple Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto, are heading off to the Aloha State, to showcase their talents on ASAP: Live in Honolulu. 

As the Kapamilya Media Team interviewed them, they talked what to expect for this much-awaited event. They discussed that the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Hawaii would be felt as “kilig factor” between the two since it is their first time to get there. They indicated that a special promo tour for their movie, “I Love You, Hater” will be happened at the Neil S. Blaisdell Arena since the promotion of their movie is going on. It is also their first time to promote their movie outside the Philippine archipelago. 

To those Filipinos in Hawaii to witness this event, tickets and details are available via website, ticketmaster.com or visit the Filipino Channel’s official website, mytfc.tv/events. 

After the successful event in the capital of Hawaii, some of the Kapamilya stars will invade the Land Down Under coming October 20th for ASAP: Live in Sydney. As of this moment, there’s no details about yet if JoshLia could join the event and the live coverage since Sydney has a time zone of GMT+10, and has an advance two hours from the Philippine Standard Time. If this happens, the upcoming event would took place at 1:30 PM (Sydney Standard Time). If not, the event would probably be divided into two parts and rolls out on Philippine television on either November and December of this year. Tickets will be available on the 3Q 2018 and the promo to join this event would start on late July or within the month of August for domestic viewers. 

In spite of series of promotions, both inside the Phiippines and abroad, they also starred for their Star Cinema’s 25th Anniversary offering, “I Love You, Hater,” with the Queen of All Media, Kris Aquino, under the direction of Giselle Andres, and rolls out on its premiere night, July 10th, 7:00 PM at the SM Megamall, followed by its nationwide movie showing on July 11th. International screenings will be announced by the Star Cinema Team. Also, JoshLia will possibly visit the Queen City of the South for the promo tour on July 8th at the Robinson’s Galleria Cebu at 4:00 PM, and awaits the fans there, as part of their nationwide promo tour.

JoshLia set forth to promote ILYH in Cebu

Have you met JoshLia in Cebu yet? Several days before the movie comes out, Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto (JoshLia) began to promote their movie, “I Love You, Hater” nationwide with its kick-off dated June 10, 3:00 PM at the Ayala Malls Feliz, Pasig City, in spite that their movie would finish their touches on the middle part of the month.

However, according to a crew of JoshLia Squad, the fan base of JoshLia, that the nationwide promo tour of this movie could probably include Metro Cebu between the intervals of July 5-9 (Thursday to Monday). If this happens, this would be the first time that JoshLia handles the promo tour here, and awaits the Cebuano fans. It would be held at the Robinson’s Galleria Cebu, on its fixed date, July 8th (Sunday, and the time hasn’t fixed at this moment), or not, it may be moved to other parts of the country (especially in Iloilo City, Bacolod City, Davao City, Cagayan de Oro City, etc.) unless the decision of the Ad Promotions Team of Star Cinema and its regional specialist, Josie S. Pereyra, until its final and executory.

In 2017, JoshLia didn’t made it for the Cebu Promo Tour, for two movies, namely “Love You to the Stars and Back” (LYSB) and “Unexpectedly Yours.” For the case of LYSB, instead of promoting their movie in the Queen City of the South (either at the SM City Cebu or at the SM Seaside), they promote their movie in the main cities of Western Visayas, the cities of Iloilo and Bacolod dated August 26 (Saturday), causing JoshLia fans in Cebu were emotional to meet the newest loveteam.

And as to Julia’s promotion in Cebu, she had her first-ever Cebu promo tour for Vince and Kath and James with her co-star Maris Racal dated December 22, 2016 at the Mountain Wing Atruim of the SM Seaside. Several days after, she showcased the Cebuanos for another mall show at the Terraces, Ayala Center Cebu for the Sinulog Kapamilya Caravan a day before the Sinulog Grand Parade 2017.

“I Love You, Hater” will also stars Kris Aquino, with Alora Sasam, Markki Stroem, and many more, under the direction of Giselle Andres on its Star Cinema’s 25th anniversary offering, and slating in PH cinemas this July 11th, with its premiere night on July 10th at the SM Megamall 7:00 PM.

Riding Along the Metro Shuttle Bus

JUNE 8, 2018 - In 2000s, Vallacar Transit Incorporated, the company behind Ceres Liner/Tours, servicing passengers from Cebu City to its towns in Cebu Province and Negros Provinces. In 2016, the company introduced the second bus line named Sugbo Transit, which caters passengers from Cebu City/Mandaue City to other towns and cities in Cebu Province. and this year, as Yanson Group of Bus Companies, the main company behind the VTI, celebrating its 50th anniversary of catering passengers, introduced an additional bus line that will cater passengers from Mactan-Cebu International Airport going to Cebu South Bus Terminal, having a 16.8 kilometer route stretch, called “Sugbo Tours.”

Sugbo Tours is an additional bus line that would transport passengers easily from the Cebu South Bus Terminal all the way to the Mactan-Cebu International Airport. This after the inauguration of the Terminal 2 of this airport last June 7, 2018 (Thursday) together with the Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, Cebu Governor Hilario Davide III, officials of the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA), with its general manager Steve Dicdican, officials of the GMR-Megawide consortium and other VIPs.

This is the actual unit of Sugbo Tours waiting passengers at the Cebu South Bus Terminal for an experimental, trial but free shuttle service ride going to the MCIA on that day. It has an actual travel time interval of an hour (if the traffic condition is light to slightly moderate) to two and a half-hours (if the traffic condition is worst). This Sugbo Tours uses a Higer City Bus, a Euro-5 exhaust emission standard diesel engine, and an enivronment-friendly bus with its ramp accessible to Persons with Disability/Handicapped. It costs less than PHP10,000,000. 

Inside this bus, it has their own cargo compartment where they could put some baggages for less hassle.

The seating capacity of this bus is 45, by its 2x3 seating arrangement per row, while its standing capacity goes to more than 20, giving a maximum passenger capacity of 80. It has an entertainment system where passengers and tourists can watch their favorite movies, either local or foreign. 

The security features of a bus is a closed-circiut television (CCTV) camera that monitors the behavior of the passengers and tourists. 

Another security feature of this public transport is the digital back mirror camera, that monitors the distance of another vehicle or object when reversing and the speed limiter which limits the maximum speed of a bus. Although, their ticketing system is through the conductor and tells the passenger/tourist on the destination of your choice. They didn’t have a cashless payment system where passengers can use a card with a reload of PHP100.00 and tap it to pay (unlike the SM-Metro Rapid Transit System-led MyBus implements this kind of payment system) depending on its length of route in kilometers. 

Sugbo Tours has more than six (6) bus stops on the following destinations:

From Cebu South Bus Terminal:

-Osmeña Blvd. (Robinson’s Fuente)

-Robinson’s Galleria Cebu

-Cebu North Bus Terminal

-Pacific Mall Mandaue

-Mactan-Cebu International Airport

And from Mactan-Cebu International Airport:

-Mactan Island Central

-Pacific Mall Mandaue

-Cebu North Bus Terminal

-Robinson’s Galleria Cebu

-Department of Health Regional Office 7 (Osmeña Blvd.)

-Cebu South Bus Terminal

For the next few months, the bus company would add some bus stops and units if the passengers would meet an consisent public demand. The City Government of Cebu has an ordinance banning jeepneys bound for Mandaue City from plying Osmeña Blvd. and implemented several years ago. And because of the buses servicing through the airport, the passngers bound for Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu Cities would probably brought a huge help and they feel comfortable and hassle-free.

Effective last June 9 (Saturday), the fare of this bus would start at PHP25.00 for the first three-four bus stops (PHP20.00 for students, senior citizens and PWDs) up to PHP40.00 for the direct route (P32.00 for students, senior citizens and PWDs).

Julia Barretto as “Valentina” in Darna Remake?

The much-awaited movie remake is back this year! When its director Erik Matti opens a suggestion to the public, and its fans, to whom would be the role of Valentina, the rival of Darna? 

One of the suggestion is Julia Barretto, that fits into this role. However, she did it her “kontrabida” roles for the first time when she played the role of Trixie, a rival of Joanna (Miles Ocampo) in an afternoon drama series “And I Love You So” in Christmas 2015-Summer 2016. One of the looks of Valentina is that, a snake would appeared in her head but her attitude looks fierce, stronger than ever. We don’t know yet the figures if Julia accepts her role or not. 

As to date, Julia has two movies so far this year, one of that is the much-awaited rom-com movie with alongside partner Joshua Garcia in collaboration with the Queen of Alll Media, Kris Aquino, entitled “I Love You, Hater,” which will be showing in Philippine cinemas this July 11th and its premiere on July 10th, 7:00 PM at the SM Megamall Cinema 10, produced by Star Cinema, now celebrating its 25th year. 

As “I Love You, Hater” shooting has been almost finishing their touches, another movie is about to unfold, and this time, its a horror movie still with Joshua. And the movie will be entitled “Block Z.” The movie playdate will be announced and it is said to be in 4Q 2018.

In spite of failure to receive the major award as “Best Actress,” Julia bagged an award as the “Female Star of the Night” for the 66th FAMAS Awards held at the Solaire Resort and Casino in Parañaque City dated June 10, 2018. Also, her alongside partner Joshua Garcia bagged as the Male Star of the Night but the same thing, he didn’t made it as Best Actor of this award. We’re proud of you, keep shining and slaying. Our applauses come from your heart.
