BARRY THE FISH WITH FINGERS
I love Sue Hendra's books. They all contain very fun and cute stories with beautiful illustrations. This book was one of my daughter's favourites and she still loves it. Barry is a fish with fingers and he puts it to good use to save his friend Puffy.
Why did I like this book? Fun storyline with beautiful and colourful illustrations.

NASA KIDS CLUB
The NASA kids club is an excellent website for kids with an interest in space. It offers a range of interesting educational activities and games focused on space and technology.
What I like about the website is that it provides activities for kids of all ages and you can set the difficulty level of the games on offer. There are also various sections catering for the Public, Educators and for Students with various free tools and resources.
Some memorable games include
Grab It
A fun game in the Skill Level 1 where you grab items beginning with the letter in the Space Shuttle.
Rocket Builder
In Skill Level 2 you can build your own rocket.
Print and Play
The website also allows you to download and print activities in its "print and play" section. This is very useful for educators and parents.
Verdict
The NASA Kids Club is not as content rich as most other children's website and you would expect a little more from the worlds leading space agency. It does, however offer some very useful and enjoyable educational tools.

The Shark in The Dark
This is a story about a hungry shark that wants to eat the fish and other ocean creatures. They all stand together against the shark to repell him.
What did I like about this book?
This book teaches children that sometimes its better to work together as a team. Together you can overcome obstacles bigger than yourself.
Age Group: 3-5

Yikes, Stinkysaurus!
This is a cute and funny story about a very smelly dinosaur. Eventually all the other dinosaurs decide to take action and help stinky smell better again.
What did I like about this book?: This book teaches children about good personal hygiene in a fun and novel way.
Age Group: 3-5 Years
Marmaduke- the Very Different Dragon
Marmaduke was a pleasant surprise! My daughter absolutely loved this book. Its a story about a dragon that is different to other dragons and because of this, no princess wants him as her dragon...or at least not until he meets a "very different princess" who becomes his friend.
What did I like about this book?: This book teaches children to embrace their individuality, which in turn instils confidence. Its main message is that Its OK to be different.
Age group: 3-5 years of age
No-Bot the Robot with no Bottom!
This is a really fun book that tells the story of a robot who has lost his bottom. The story follows the robot as he searches for his bottom.
What did I like about this book? Its a fun and different story which will make your child giggle.

Sesame Street- Games and activities
Wow! What a website with tons of content. This is such a good resource to use for your little ones and there are so many games and activities to choose from that will keep your toddler occupied for a long time. The only downside of the website is that it is extremely busy and could be difficult to navigate. I did, however have a look at some of the Sesame Street games and some worthwhile mentioning are the Cookie Monster's Alphabet Soup as well as Elmo's first day at School.
The PBS Shop
PBS has a great shop where you can purchase a wide range of products conveniently sorted by category, character, brand, age and personalised gifts.
Cbeebies
As a parent you can really trust the BBC for delivering high quality children's programmes in an ad-free enviroment. This website is great and has a lot of games and activities to keep your child busy.
Cbeebies is home to a lot of children's' favourites like Mr Tumble, the Octonauts and In the Night Garden(a toddler classic). Most of the games on Cbeebies can be played on a computer. I havent tested it on tablet devices.
Some Memorable Games:
Octonauts Make a Picture
A fun game where you can draw, paint and also add pictures of your favourite characters.
Something Special Tumble Tapp Snap
Help Mr Tumble with this Matching Game
Resources for Parents
I stumbled across this really helpful section in "Something Special" that includes many useful resources for parents, especially those with children with learning difficulties.
Verdict
Although not as content rich as the PBS website the Cbeebies website provides excellent free material and will keep your children busy for ages. It is also a very useful resource for parents and in general very educational. I like the fact that all this material are advert free.
You can visit the website on www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies
