HEY EVERYONE :)

So in the interests of ‘following my bliss’ or whatever I chose to give up my first good job in years, all my friends and my social life and move back in with my parents, you know, like a failure, in order to write a new novel for my literary agent.

Unfortunately because it has LESBIANS in it - lesbian WITCHES at that, it is apparently not worth showing to publishers.

What a great time to be a dyke-writer.

The problem with listening to modern, mens country music. Is that there are instances where you’re just like....you have no idea what being a woman is like. You sing A LOT about girls, but you don’t seem to have thought about how some of those girls would hear your song. Or what you’re saying even MEANS.

This song for example, sounds really good, but the lyrics:

.....pretty sure there are women, not even a small number, who’ve said these exact things, to men, and been ignored. 

I get it, it’s a good time song...but I can’t listen to it without thinking about this, and to me that says that, this song is not for women, it’s just about them.
