biggest pet peeve is unstoppable series calling the khmer empire ancient. like this is way out of my area of “expertise” both in terms of time period and geographic location BUT the khmer empire was founded in 802 CE and angkor wat was built ca. 1150 CE. ancient history cut off is ca. 500 CE yall are three centuries off 😭 and even if you want to claim late antiquity the cut off for that is 750 CE!! and i think late antiquity only really applies to europe and the mediterranean basin! and the khmer empire almost made it to the early modern period!! thats crazy how can you say khmer is ancient when it lasted through pretty much the whole development of gothic architecture what are you talkinggg about 😭😭😭😭
