I think what is so genius about the writing of IWTV is how we will never truly know the truth because no one truly knows the truth. I think people often forget that even though we’re watching a show, we’re watching it from someone else’s point of view 99% of the time. The books are the same way. One of my favorite examples is the theatre box.

Armand did not lie.

Lestat did not lie.

At least, neither of them lied intentionally. They simply relayed how they remembered the event. I honestly believe that the truth is a mix of what they remembered, but we’ll never truly know.
