hi so for those fuckers who say they “wanna have BPD” or can “fix” those with the disorder, here’s how a favorite person can shape a person with BPD’s behavior and identity:

people with BPD can begin to mold themselves into their fp’s identity, losing their individuality. whether it be to seem more appealing to their fp or to just feel more connected, they will have the same interests, hobbies, and even going as far as to moral beliefs.

a person with BPD’s self esteem and mood is intensely rooted in their fp and how they are being treated by their fp. if they get praise or validation, they feel immensely joyful. if the fp is being perceived as distant, the person will feel extremely self-conscious and worthless.

the reason people with BPD are so clingy or attached to their fp is because of an intense fear of being abandoned and also the fact that, even just from a small little split, their nervous system can go into actual fight or flight when it’s perceived that their fp doesn’t love them or desires to leave them.

overall, while people with BPD love their fp very deeply, one of the main reasons they are so attached to their fp is because they cannot soothe or emotionally regulate themselves, and their fp can do so for them. you really shouldn’t want to be on either side of the relationship, as both are extremely exhausting to hold the role of.
