@Noblealeworks had some great beers pouring on Saturday. Our big winners were the Hops of Hope (Session IPA), Man's Milk (Milk Stout on Nitro) and Chinook Showers (Single Hop IPA). Firestone Walker: Stickee Monkey • Quadrupel • 13.4% ABV • Belated review but oh well. This beer was delicious. Firestone Walker brewed this quadrupel with Mexican Turbinado Sugar packed it away in spirit barrels and dubbed it a "Central Coast Quad". The Bruery: Mischmishmish • Belgian Style Golden Ale w/ Apricots added • 8.5% ABV • I hardly come down on the Bruery but this beer was bad. Plain and simple. Overcarbonated and wishy-washy in the mouth. This was more of a fruit beer but the apricot fun from Filmishmish was absent and the yeast that works so well with Mischief was a poor match. 21st Amendment IPA • 7% ABV • First 21st Amendment brew for me and it was much better than I thought it might be. Mildly bitter IPA more malt forward. Lots of citrus and sweet honey flavor.
