im trying not to be excited for the fosters tonight and its not working i am so disappointed in myself i said i was /done/

They didn’t just break Jonnor up. They ruined the relationship. By having Jude say that the only reason that they got together was that they were both gay, they basically discredited their whole relationship. That’s why I’m upset. Breaking up is one thing. But saying that the only reason they got together was because they were the only two gay guys in their grade? It’s ridiculous. Jude had a crush on Connor before he even knew he was gay. Connor probably found out he was gay because he had a crush on Jude. I am so disappointed with the writers, the creators, and the series in general.

honestly i dont mind jude being bisexual, im bisexual myself, but what im really pissed about is how the writers are handling this.

* 2 seasons of build up for jonnor* *gets jealous when connor dates daria* *kisses connor in tent* * holds connor’s hand in movie theater* *gets jealous when connor wants to hang out with daria instead of you* * kisses connor again in your bedroom* *makesout with connor SHIRTLESS at connor’s house* *literally says “im super gay for you” to connor at the LGBT prom* *tells connor he LOVES him at Callie!/ adoption* *cries because of him and connor’s breakup* * FALLS. IN. LOVE. WITH. CONNOR. WHO. IS. A. BOY.“ and literally rejects taylor because he has feelings for connor

but then they have jude say he doesnt think hes into boys? Im pissed that they really made him say this. How disrespectful can they be to jonnor, connor, and the LGBT community? Jonnor helped so many young members in the lgbt and was such a very important aspect of the show. They were the other half of lgbt representation next to stef and lena. honestly the writers are ruining the show and im not here for this. They should’ve had jude say “i think i might be into boys and girls” , but by having him say “i dont think im into guys” is giving the implication that theyre going to make jude “straight” and have him question his relationship with connor in its entirety as if it wasnt real, and im not here for it, The writers have gotten disrespectful. Not only to Gavin with his crude send off, but to connor/jonnor, the fans for not giving us closure, and lastly to the lgbt representation. Honestly im so tired of how gay ships are being treated. Im done with this and probably the show. If they wanna introduce bisexuality that would be great, but do it correctly.

so from the spoilers im hearing jude is magically straight now? and if hes bisexual...they literally didnt build that up at all? like a normal show would? why would u make his storyline all about connor and make him do a giant turn once connor was no longer relevant? why couldnt they have made jude's sexuality gradually become more fluid? why are they making him suffer? whY DID THEY KILL OF JACK? IM REALLY MAD AND CONFUSED? BC IT SEEMS LIKE THEYRE JUST THROWING JUDE AROUND? WHY NOT JUST GIVE HIM A CHARACTER ARC WITH NO ROMANCE? OR MAYBE JUST YKNOW BRING IN THAT AROMANTIC/ASEXUAL REPRESENTATION? IM GENUINELY UPSET RN?

Connor Stevens is one of the most important LGBT characters on television. He’s the hot, popular kid at school and still chose to hang out with Jude despite this. Jude was picked on in the earlier episodes and it was specifically stated that he doesn’t get picked on any more because Connor stands up for him. Thirteen year old Connor Stevens stood up for a boy who wears nail polish to school and even wore some of his own just so that Jude would feel like he fit in. He comes out as gay at THIRTEEN despite the fact that he’s an athlete, which is a homophobic field in itself. He comes out to his homophobic and emotionally abusive father simply for the reason that he loves Jude and he doesn’t want to hide. Connor was shot and there was obviously some effects of PTSD that he had from that, but of course because of him moving, we’ll never get to see how he dealt with that. 

Gavin himself is one of the LGBT community’s biggest supporters, using his social media to connect with fans. I myself messaged him to thank him for the impact that Connor’s story had on my own coming out and he thanked me graciously and could not have been any sweeter about it. He’s constantly attending charity events and making a point to discuss how important his character is to kids. Connor is quite obviously the fan favorite on The Fosters and I’m not saying their ratings are going down because he’s not on the show, but the ratings are going down because he’s not on the show. We know from the episode description that Connor will be on Monday’s new episode and if we’re thinking realistically, this could be really be Gavin’s last episode.

I’m asking for everyone to trend #ThankYouGavinForConnor on Monday to show your support for Gavin like he’s shown endless support for us. Tell him how Connor’s character touched you, how much you admired his bravery and thank Gavin for portraying him as well as he did. It would be absolutely amazing if we were able to get the hashtag trending, especially because hardly anyone even watches The Fosters anymore. Prove to the cast and the crew of the show that Gavin and Connor are important and will always have our love and respect.

First sneak peek vid of next week’s episode 3x17 “Sixteen” in honor of the twins 16th birthday. Nick shows up at the Adams Fosters household to woo Mariana. Jesus and Mariana argue over how to celebrate their birthday and Jude finally receives his ticket to go see Connor in LA for his homecoming.
