I know I'm not active but I just wanted to say that yes, I'm still a fan of JonTron despite his recent tweets only because he AND his wife clarified he's not anti-vax and I really don't think his "fear mongering" or bad sources would actually do any harm since he's clearly just being an idiot again lmao. No one's gonna take vaccine advice from a comedian youtuber, nor should they.

Basically, Jon tweeted out this as a response to what's currently going on across America

Some people got really upset with this and tried using it as "proof" that Jon is "still racist".

Now, personally, I think this is the best statement he could've made. He's never been good at talking about important matters like this without people taking his words the wrong way or having to reiterate his point. He's not good at discussing politics, and he knows this, so this statement was basically him saying he's going to do what he does best during these hard times: Make comedic content. Make people smile and laugh for a change. That's what he's good at, and I see nothing wrong with it.

Now, could he have maybe said more about BLM? Yeah. He could've said more, or really anything. He could've just used the hashtag BLM, but c'mon. We know how the public would've responded. We know they would've dug up old shit like they did when Arin of Game Grumps showed hesitancy to make a statement using the Game Grumps Twitter account, and like they did when he decided to make a statement. It would've been far worse for Jon.

He made the right call imo.

Recently Jon put an admittedly dumb thing out on twitter it came down to that he thinks he's not the right person to talk about what's going on in the world and he wants everyone to stay safe and suddenly it's 2016 all over again because he's not shouting out charities or talking enough and to me, it's frustrating because it's a no-win scenario, he says something he's lying, he says nothing he hasn't changed like fuck the guy's just trying to survive this shitty year like the rest of us Jesus.

I mean I disagree that it was dumb but the rest I agree with.
