He nodded his head.” Let’s go.” He walked outside with her and waited for the uber to arrive, she placed his hands into his pockets and swayed a little bit as he looked out for it, He clicked his tongue and rocked back and fourth on his heels.

It didn’t take the two of them long to get into the Uber and make their way to the venue, arriving about fifteen minutes before the opening act was due to commence. “So, tell me a bit about yourself”, Arden requested as she joined the small line to get into the venue.

“ I don’t know, It’s just school work has got me a tad bit crazy you know?” He sighed.” On top of that i heard a rumor from one of my boys back home that my ex fiancé may be coming here, I hope it’s just a rumor.” He said.” Well i’m glad things are going good for you.”

“Thanks.” He smiled softly.” i appreciate that, i know it’s not easy. How long have you been sober for?” He asked curiously, He has only been sober from hard core drugs for a short amount of time but he didn’t plan on going back to that and with her influence it would be a little easier for him.

“I think the important thing is to make sure that you learn from your mistakes and don’t repeat them again”, Lola said. “That’s a good question. I’ve had a few relapses but this time around, I’ve been sober from both alcohol and drugs for the better part of two years”.

“Definitely, Learning and doing better from your mistakes is important.” He nodded.” That’s pretty awesome, I’ve been sober from hard core drugs but weed and alcohol.” He sighed.” Weed is mainly for my anxiety issues and i don’t drink everyday so. i guess it’s better than shooting heroin and doing cocaine.”

He dried them and walked out to see her waiting there.” Thanks, Ready to go?” He gave her sweet smile and his hands stood at his sides fiddling as he was still a bit nervous, Why was she making him nervous ? He had no idea what it was and it was such a new feeling for him, He was never nervous around girls.

It really didn’t take either of them long to be ready for the next part of their night and she smiled at him when he joined her in the bedroom again, more than a little excited about the gig tonight. “Ready!” Arden confirmed, quickly ordering an Uber to the venue. “Our ride should be here in a couple of minutes if you want to head outside with me to wait?”

“I’m not saying that it was the right thing to do but we’ve all made foolish decisions when it comes to someone that we like”, Lola said. “As someone that battled with substance abuse problems for years, I know how that feels. Arden hid a smile as she noticed his cheeks heat up, finding it oddly endearing that he was nervous around her. “Of course, you can use my bathroom”, Arden said, leading him inside and up the stairs in the sorority house so that they could get to her room. “The bathroom is through there”, she told him, pointing it out. Whilst he was doing that, she disappeared into her wardrobe and quickly got changed before making her way back into the bedroom to wait for him.
