I'm Grace, 23 and currently living in Nashville. Josh Hutcherson is bae and can be yours too through my writing. *Been writing these fanfictions since March 2012*
Although in 2015 I made a wattpad to upload the complete stories I’ve written I couldn’t find it until I made another one. So I deleted the original and made a new one! I’ve been editing the Catching Fire World Premiere. Although I wrote better than I thought at 15, my 23 year old self can now correct things and make it flow logically. :)
So I hope y’all can look into it and start reading my stories on there! Of course if I finish any of the “Coincidence” or “in the gray” I will post it on here first before I post on Wattpad.
But thank you for the best 4 years this blog lasted. It’s been 8 years since I created it and I always find myself coming back to it to look at how much I accomplished in high school. It’s riveting and encouraging to know at such a young age I wrote that much and connected so many people to it. So thank you. And I hope you guys still use tumblr to see this note. I love you all.
let’s continue this love on wattpad. Also pre-order the new hunger games book. I’ve been so nostalgic!
I feel like whenever I have writer’s block in my personal life I turn back to this blog. So many memories. So many years. So many friendships made. Anyone else still use tumblr for reading fanfics? Or has everything been moved to Wattpad?
I miss everyone that was part of THG fandom and reading other Josh Hutcherson fanfics!
Catching Fire World Premiere Chapter Thirty Three - FINAL
It’s BEEN A WHOLE YEAR SINCE I COULD FINALLY SIT DOWN AND WRITE THE CONCLUSION TO THE BEST FANFIC I’VE HAD SO MUCH FUN WRITING. I just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you and lots of love to each and every one of you that kept on reading each of my stories. I never would be this confident in my writing skills if it weren’t for you all. So here’s the last installment of the series, because even though I would hate to make it end, it’s in a happy place and there’s nothing more I’d rather do than leave my characters happy. :)
I love you all so much for sticking with me these 4 years I’ve had this blog.
“Jenna… You’re enough.”
Those simple words were all that I needed to hear from Josh. They defeated the horrible thoughts decaying in my mind that convinced me we were no good together.
I brought myself the trouble I did the past month with Evan and Henry, but I was glad the drama was over with and I could finally be happy with Josh. Because I am happy. And he is too.
It’s the morning after Josh called and I’m waiting for Claire to swing by my house to start planning for the Fall. College was so close and I was scared. This was something Josh and I have yet to converse about. Were we ready to become long distance? Sure, we were already but it will be different when the girlfriend goes off to another city surrounded by Frat boys and college parties.
“Jenna?” There’s a creak at the door as my mom pops her head in. I smile and wave her in.
“Claire is parking her car right now. How’s everything?” After Josh called last night I ran to the kitchen to eat my comfort food and my mom just so happened to be up as well. I explained everything to her and she listened.
I give her a reassuring smile. “I’m great! Thanks, mom. I’m going to call Josh later today and see how his flight was.”
“When will he visit?”
“Maybe in a month or so,” I shrug. We were going to try this summer to not see each other as much to prepare us for the following year when we would both be busy. So far, I miss the hell out of him.
“Well, you know what they say,” my mom pipes, “distance makes the heart grow fonder.”
There is loud stomping in the hallway as Claire bursts into the room with a big smile on her face. “Good morning, Mrs. Reel!”
“Hi, Claire. I’ll leave you two to the adventure that waits.” She places a hand on my shoulder and gives it a squeeze. “Let me know if you find something you really want that’s too big to fit in the car.” I nod and she leaves the room.
Claire jumps on the bed and I give her a puzzled look. “You look like you just found out how to crack the Enigma Code.”
“Something similar to that!” I get up from the bed and head to my closet to pick something decent for the long shopping day ahead of us.
“Did you find out your roommate?”
“Better!” I turn around and wait in anticipation. “So there’s this facebook page for the newest class at BU and I’ve already gotten a ton of requests from cute boys! I’m so excited to start this Fall now!!” I smile and roll my eyes at Claire’s excitement.
“I can’t wait to visit!”
“And I can’t wait to finally go to New York… Is Josh going to help you move in?”
I pull on light hoodie and some shorts. “He will try, but he wants me to enjoy the last few moments with my mom and cousin. He knows I want him to, but also how important it is to not be sheltered inside the first week of college.” And this was true. Many of my friends were either still single or going to different schools than their loved ones, so they won’t be tied down during the first week that defines what college is all about. I wanted Josh to be there and experience it with me, but I wanted to see how many people I could meet on my own as well.
“Well, let me know when he visits so I can too! I miss all three of us hanging out.”
“Of course. Let’s head out and start shopping!” I tell Claire. We get our bags and head to her car, towards the huge outdoor mall.
Once we get there we start heading to the warehouse stores that have already started their college dorm sales. We were to first take pictures and make a list of things we knew we absolutely needed and then go back and buy the first bulk of things.
“I think my color theme will be light blue and white, how about you?” Claire’s cart is already filled with bathroom necessities in the said color. I told her I still wasn’t sure, but definitely something with light pink in it.
I find my way in the crafts section and pick a couple of notebooks and pens I know I will need. That’s when my phone starts to buzz. I answer without checking who it is.
“Hello?” I ask as I put another pack of Staedler Pens in my cart. I follow Claire as she heads to the appliance section to check how much the microwaves are.
“Hey, baby.” My heart flutters at the sound of Josh’s voice. I didn’t realize how much I missed it until now; and it’s only been a day.
“I’ve missed you so much.”
“Jenna, you don’t know how badly I want to take the next plane out to you. So much publicity is still needed to be done.”
“It’s okay. I’m busy shopping for the first few college necessities.” I skim my eyes over a few of the fridges and see one I really like. My eyes bulge out at the price. Nope.
“You’re going to have the best year, don’t worry. College is something not everyone gets to experience.” Josh replies. I can tell he regrets not giving college a chance, but he wouldn’t be as successful as he is now if he did. We all have our own path to follow.
“You can live it vicariously through me don’t worry, hun.” I say as I finish my rounds down the appliance aisle.
“Oh, you know I will. I will definitely come down to see you more than you’d like,” he confesses. I blush, knowing I probably want that to happen more than I’d like.
“I would love that, actually. I have a feeling we’re going to see each other more than we thought we would. And I’m excited for the trips we can take to each other during my breaks.” My school has multiple breaks during the year, which high school never had, so I couldn’t wait to visit LA again and see Josh.
“Me too. This is probably the most anticipating relationship I’ve found myself in. Even though I hate how our serious conversations have to be either on Skype or on the phone rather face to face, the excitement of flying to each other and still being able to be independent anticipates me.”
“Thanks again, for this.” I remind him. I wouldn’t be with him or confident if he didn’t ask me out. Josh has definitely changed my point of view on things and makes me a better person everyday.”
“You’re the one making me feel like the luckiest guy in the world. Don’t thank me for anything.”
I let out a laugh as Claire comes around the corner with a microwave added to her collection.
“I think I’ve got enough to fill half of your car, so I’m ready whenever you are.” Claire whispers as she sees I’m still on the phone. I nod and follow behind her towards the cash register.
“Josh, I love you. I know we can do more than we think we can and I can’t wait. I’m so happy and lucky to call you mine. I’ll call you later,” I give him a small kiss noise and he laughs.
“Love you too, baby. Tell me how shopping goes.” With that we hang up and I help Claire put things onto the conveyer belt.
“How’s Josh?” Claire asks with a wink.
“He’s good. He’s excited for us and to visit.”
“Of course he is! This is such an exciting step for all of us! We still have to pick out classes and go for orientation, but that’s just where the fun begins!” I shake my head with a laugh.
Claire was right. College is going to be the best thing ever, even if some classes are filled and I get paired with a crappy roommate. I’ve got the best boyfriend a girl could ask for and a best friend that will be a phone call away. I might be scared as hell to move states away, but no one said life was going to be easy; they just said life was going to be a roller-coaster of everything. And I couldn’t wait to buckle in.
