People, its been a very long time since I posted and I realize that is not cool. But life had taken some interesting turns for me, and now things are calming down to the point where I can step back and focus on fun things as well as serious things.
SO I thought this post would about the various cosplays I’ve been up to since the last time I posted. They are in order by when I did them, and I’ve included photos of the characters I suited up as for comparison/recognition.
John Constantine
Zatara the Magician
The Lizard
The Vigilante
Sympathy For the Deviled Egg Burger Season 4, Episode 16: I Get Psy-chic Out of You One all beef patty covered in a devilishly delicious deviled egg salad. Served on a toasted kaiser roll. We had a bit of a burger party, and little puppy Sherman had a blast. This burger was pretty simple, but made for a great dinner on a hot Georgia afternoon. Crisp and very bright in flavor, this burger is a great reason to use up those eggs you’ve had in your fridge. Recipe is below!

My reaction when I woke up this morning, realized it was Friday and that tomorrow was the weekend.
I write this post with a heavy heart though, as Irwin Hasen passed away today in the early hours of the morning. He was 96 years old. For all those who don't know, Mr. Hasen did a lot of artwork for Alan Scott (the original Green Lantern) adventures's back in the 1940's and was also the co-creator of Ted "Wildcat" Grant with Bill Finger. Mr. Hasen was also co-creator of the comic strip Dondi which ran for three decades in the papers. I've read a lot of old GL and Wildcat comics, and knowing that Mr. Hasen was the man who made Ted Grant and Alan Scott's old adventure's sizzle and pop with such bright colors and action heavy panels, well it saddens me that he's gone from the world now. So, for everyone who reads this, take a small moment this weekend to raise a glass of something fine to the memory of Irwin Hasen, may he rest in piece.

I want to thank everyone who follows my Tumblr. I know I've been derelict with posting stuff because of life getting in the way (work, school, the usual stuff). But I'm going to try and be more dutiful with my postings now that things slowed down. I hope everyone has been having an excellent 2015 so far, and if not, please cheer up. Things will turn around. I wish everyone a good night.
Thought I should make a post today even though it isn't the anniversary of Joe Kubert's death or his birthday, but just so that people who see this won't forget him. Joe was one of the great comic book artists of the 20th century, and was best known for working on DC Comic's 'Hawkman' and 'Sgt. Rock' books during the 60's. In 1976 alongside his wife, they founded the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art, the only technical institution in America whose sole purpose is teaching the trade craft of cartooning. He was one of the finest artists in the business, and a good friend to all. So take the time all you comic book readers to stop and remember Joe Kubert today if you see this, and if you run into a book with the words "Art by Joe Kubert" on it, don't put it down, read it, enjoy it, because that's what Joe would have wanted you to do. RIP Joe.
Justice is coming to all of us. No matter what we do.
It's Monday, and finals exams are upon me. Oh joy.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Enjoy the blessings of bounty, family and friends today!
