Amy just let out a grunt in reply to being called hot. They didn’t personally see it, seeming as they were still trying to figure out their bodies themselves but appreciated the comment from their best friend. “No reason, just wanted to check in,” Amy said wanting to let their best friend know they were there for them.

The moment she heard the words fall from her best friends lips, she almost felt as though she wanted to shut down. She manged to avoid the conversation enough with her siblings and her father, usually straying away from home to not look at her fathers face because of the remembrance of her mother. “Alright, well I’m fine.” She said once again before taking the peanut buttered bread into her hand, taking a large bite.

“Unless they hit on whatever moves, I’m sure I’m in the clear,” they said with a slight smile. Amy cut the sandwiches in half before walking over to the table with both their plates. “How are you? I mean really?”

“The fuck you talking about? You’re hot as shit, of course they would hit on you.” She said with a small smile on her lips as she looked at her friend across from the table. “Me? M’fine, as per usual. Why wouldn’t I be?” The death of her mother wasn’t something she talked about often, of course it happened almost a year ago, but it definitely something something that Josie enjoyed talking about.
