⍣ ◦ º ◦ was that [ danielle rose russel ] i just saw? no, my mistake, it was [ anya ivanov ] though they seem an awful lot like [ anastasia ] from [ anastasia ], don’t they? i heard they’re [ twenty-one ] and they like [ music boxes, cold snow, lost mysteries, dancing ] and work as [ a maid ].
name: anya ivanov nickname(s): n/a (that i can think of, feel free to come up with some) age: twenty-one gender: cis female sexuality: bisexual residence: she lives alone in a little house in town occupation: maid
anya remembers nothing before being cursed, though she doesn’t remember much after being cursed either. her childhood is mostly all a blank to her, vague memories of another place, or a song, but nothing that gives her any clue to who she is besides her necklace having “to anya” engraved on the back. from ages eight to eighteen, she lived in the orphanage and before that, she doesn’t really remember anything more than her name.
growing up in the orphanage never ruined her spirit, she had fun with the younger kids and occasionally got in trouble but anya always had fun and kept her wits about her. she was not nearly as proper and polite as some people would wish her to be, but she wouldn’t change it for the world, her spirit is part of what makes her, her. and if you ask her, she’s pretty great.
when she turned eighteen, she could no longer stay at the orphanage. they arranged a job for her as a maid and helped her with a small place to live in town, but before she accepted and got settled, she tried to leave the vale. anya wanted a chance to explore and maybe find out where she came from along the way, unfortunately each attempt got her nowhere. she couldn’t leave no matter how hard she tried. so, she accepted the help. anya doesn’t particularly love her job, but it’s enough while she figures out a plan.
anya has never doubted that she will find where she came from, though she has so far been unable to find a way to leave, it’s just a setback. in the meantime, she really does enjoy the vale and its other residents. part of her believes that if that’s all her family will end up being, the people in the town she grew up in, then it really isn’t that bad.
anya has never taken off her necklace, it’s her one connection to her birth family
while she doesn’t spend every waking moment trying to leave, many of her weekends involve figuring out a plane for when she leaves
snow is anya’s favorite thing, it never fails to put a smile on her face
some nights she can vaguely remember parts of a song, but nothing she can place
