He was pleased that she would join him. Erik enjoyed Alice’s company, even if it was a bit odd at times. He stood back on his feet, dusting himself off of any dirt of leaves. “I tend to leave the madness misunderstood.” He laughed, not fully understanding what she meant by her words. There were times Erik didn’t quite understand Alice. He blamed it mainly on the age difference between them. The younger generation were in their own world. “That sounds like a good deal to me. He’d be excited to see you.” Eric extended his hand out to assist the young girl out of the tree. “It’s a bit of a way into town. I’m excited to hear what you have today.”
Alice had quickly developed a liking for Erik. She never felt any judgement from him for all her quirks, of which there were many. That had easily earned her respect. “Well I think there is something to be said for madness. I think it’s that bit of spark in life that people sometimes need. After all, geniuses are often called mad are they not.” She laughed. There were streaks of madness in her after all, Wonderland had left some imprinted on her. If you asked her she was making out just fine with it, better than most. “Well that’s good because I wasn’t going to take no for an answer.” She took his hand, descending from her perch. Thumbing through her journal for a good part. “I don’t mind the walk. Let’s see… how about the great Jabberwocky for today.”
