OASIS EVENT+GIVEAWAY?  OUO

A small Oasis in a part of the desert often untraveled seems to be a perfect spot for a party?  

Definitely! 

 So grab the warmachine floats and swimsuits and hop in!  Everyone is welcome to join and hang out, interact and just have fun.  

Theres plenty of food and plenty of cloth fish as well as waterballons!  However be aware of sneaky anons that may be out to get you!

Event and giveaway ends on the 26th, to give people plenty of time to enter the giveaway and interact.

((OKay so I found this Hunger Games simulator website where you can put names of anyone with their pics and basically read how they do in the games. It was super funny and I thought “Who would win in the journey fandom~?” Welp. Here’s a summery of the events occurred.))

That, and I think I may be able to help with that.

In the list I have stated that Star Children and Sand Children are capable of cross-breeding, and that the offspring would usually be the same to the Sand Child (or Star Child and REALLY RARE occasions), but I forgot to mention that the Sand Child offspring would gain some features from the Star Child parent such as a higher energy capacity, or maybe in Odaeus’s case, a much higher tolerance to potentially lethal materials. But then again this MAY clash with you stating that Odaeus is NOT a hybrid. Maybe it COULD be that his species (unlike others of the same race) have a much higer tolerance to poisonous/toxic/venomous materials/objects/organisms.

I dunno, science is hard.

but don't worry, I understood all that completely. Since I first made Dae I already had his species ~origins~ laid out and everything, I just never explicitly wrote about them. idk I'm just saying if I were to follow along with exactly what you wrote then the best I could say is that he'd basically have the qualities of star/sand hybrid without actually being a hybrid. 

tho it's nbd. every character is their own and I like your list as something of general speculation, but obviously not everyone is going to fit it perfectly due to their own headcanons :> 

whenever I finally get around to writing it out hopefully it'll all make sense and you can see what I mean when I said they'd appear to be a hybrid, when really, like everyone else, they are just their own thing.

(( I love the list horoasashin put together about speculations on the various rythulian races dotting the sands of our community, and I love it so much because I was actually planning on doing something similar and I'm just so glad they shared similar opinions with me! 

Though I found it very neat that they mentioned how

Star Children are also known to be extremely hardy, capable of surviving in even the worst conditions, as well as having an immunity to most poisons, toxins, and venoms. Their digestive systems are also capable of digesting most forms of vagualy edible material, even those that would give extreme indigestion or food poisoning to other races.

because, despite Dae and his kind sharing visual features with bovidae animals like goats, he is also a ruminant, so this is something he is able to do too. 

Even though I haven't really posted extensively about Dae's kind (honestly they get p diverse when you look past his tribe alone and tbqh Vernaa doesn't have all the answers anyway) I probably should because ~there is a lot more to Dae than him just sharing goat qualities~ lmao

But I don't want to call him a Star/Sand Child hybrid because obviously he doesn't share in all the same aspects of a Star Child. Though at this point I'd like to soon write a thing about exactly how Dae's kind fit in with the rest of the Journey-verse and how they are affected/created by the mountain and the fate Dae is going to miss out on because of how he's been estranged from his tribe. 

I'LL probably end up doing the same for Jedah eventually because his existence headcanons are different from Dae's but they're more of a star/cloth child mash up.

I guess I'd also like to take this opportunity to apologize for my absence in the comm over the past months. I have still been checking in every single day and chatting with some people on skype about our characters, but I've got some very over due drafts and asks to reply to and hopefully I'll get to those soon!!

Hi, I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say that I enjoy your art and blog a lot, and Odaeus is a really cool character--if I somehow magically got a chance to meet just one or two Journey-related OC's in real life, I think he'd be near the top of the list.
