or maybe I'm chosen,

a soul half burning,

half frozen.

I wonder still,

am I God's favorite,

or the devil's fate.

Whispers At Midnight

The edges of reality blurred

when I caught a glimpse of something

that shouldn't exist.

It's one of those moments,

one of those moments where you think

your mind is gradually dissolving.

The shadows in my room

stretched longer than they should,

and I could swear they whispered my name.

At midnight, the mirror reflected a presence

I could feel but not see.

Oh, I can feel the tingling,

as something brushes against my cold arms,

a creature rising from shadows,

glooming between my breaths.

Is it a dream or reality,

what is truth and what’s a lie?

The darkness, a cloak that obscures my vision.

But outside, the wind died,

and yet the tree branches tapped a rhythm

I didn't recognize.

Perhaps it had always been there,

but I couldn't quite grasp it,

like the stars above.
