Tips on how to study while sick📌
Recap notes on our first unit. I mentioned that I haven’t posted these for a long time so there you go🏮
I just realized I’ve been neglecting my “aesthetic notes” posts a lot, so I just spent the last few hours taking pictures and editing them🙃 I’ve got nothing to do anyways, but still worked up a sweat. Stay tuned for some “aesthetic” notes then❤️
Home-made Strawberries & Cream Frappuccino🍓Starbucks Remake🍦
I know most people like me, adore Starbucks! It has always been on my weekly goals, to relax with my favorite Frap at least once a week. But now that we are to stay self-isolated, it is almost impossible to get our hands on our daily craving. However, I have experimented with different milkshake bases, and found, that we could recreate these drinks at home, by ourselves -right now! This following recipe has been worked on for quite a few days, and I am pretty proud to present this recipe for a Starbucks, Strawberries & Cream Frappuccino❤️
Makes about 2 servings.
Prep time: 10 - 15 minutes maximum
Ingredients:
Creme Base
1 1/2 cups of milk (approximately)
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/4 cup of whipped cream
3 heaped teaspoons of icing/powdered sugar
Frappuccino Additions
10 frozen strawberries (approximately)
8 Ice cubes
Strawberry Syrup
5 frozen strawberries
1/4 cup of cold water
1 teaspoon of honey (optional)
1 teaspoon of icing/powdered sugar
Method
1. Blend Strawberry Syrup ingredients together in a blender until smooth and set aside for later.
2. Blend Creme Base and Frappuccino Additions together in a blender on high until ice cubes are mostly crushed.
3. After a minute or so, add in about 8 - 10 ice cubes and blend for 15 - 20 seconds, until crushed but not completely.
4. Spoon about half the Strawberry Syrup onto the sides of a glass for aesthetic purposes.
5. Pour the frappuccino into the cup.
6. Whip cream on top of the frappuccino and slowly spoon the rest of the syrup onto the tip of the cream, and let it drip onto the sides of the cream
7. Slip in straw optionally and enjoy!
Taste Reaction:
“At first taste of the final concoction, it was especially sour, but left a sweet aftertaste which was extremely pleasing. It honestly tasted just like the original drink, and I was exceptionally pleased with it. 😊The Starbucks industry makes more than 2 billion dollars each year from strawberry & cream frappuccinos, while we can make it at home with the simplest ingredients!”

Apps you NEED during the quarantine📱 PART 1
This post was actually supposed to come a day or two earlier, but I decided to keep the post minimal instead of cramping all the apps I am using, so there are going to be two parts to this post.These apps are specifically chosen because they have been a great help to me during the quarantine, not just in general, but I have decided not to include apps that we generally already use like Netflix and Instagram. I hope you guys find this post useful, all the apps I have listed are free so you can download them anytime😊
e-Platform
Since all the libraries have closed down because of the virus, I have had an issue with reading so ePlatform has been my go-to lately, because of the amazing reads they have. I personally like listening to the audiobooks (currently bingeing the Hunger Games trilogy) more than reading eBooks because I won’t have to strain my eyes as much. It is like I said COMPLETLY free, no in-store purchases, and I actually enjoy it better than the apps you have to pay a subscription for like Audible or Apple Books. The only downside is that it is only available to students that attend schools which allow access to the app. There are many great alternative that are going to be coming in the next post so if you are looking for another option, stay tuned!
Lately, Pinterest has become one of the apps I use the most because of the inspiration I get from it. There is a wonderful study community that always inspire me to study more, instead of watching movies all day. If you are currently bored at home, I would HIGHLY recommend finding your new passion on Pinterest. I actually prefer the desktop website more than the app, but I just like working on my laptop more.
COVID-19!
I found this amazing app called “COVID-19!″ and it basically is an app that shows the daily increase in your country and world-wide, the deceased count, the recovered count and more! I have found this app super useful and recommend it to anyone who wants to be aware of the virus. I think this apps is super helpful if you want to know what is going on, but not look at the news every day.
Zoom
We have been using Zoom in school a lot, and it really makes a difference rather than just working through schoolwork by yourself. You can use it to face time relatives, friends and it has awesome features like screen share, chat, and much more! It is also available on laptops so you can use it online as well. I would highly recommend using this to keep in touch with loved ones, and not lose contact. Remember, it’s self-isolation, not self-seprating!
Google News
Google News is also great for keeping up with the coronovirus and local news. It is not actually a broadcasting app, but a collection of the top news in the country or world-wide. They have an effective layout, with a page just for special headlines, categories and also shows the daily weather. It is my favorite app to keep up with what’s happening daily, as well as getting accurate information. You can follow different sources, categories and save news articles as well.
Any.Do
I have personally been using Any.Do since thee first day of the quarantine to keep me organized, and it really is doing it’s job. I know there are plenty of other apps that help keep us productive, but one thing I love about Any.Do! is it’s simplicity. It has three pages, a task list, a calendar and a profile page to keep track of your habits. You can simple just type in to the task bar what you want to do and plan out your tasks over a period of time. You can sync it to any iOS devices, to keep track of your tasks anywhere. The only downside is that it is not available for Android, but there is another excellent alternative which I am also explaining down below⬇️
Microsoft Todo
Microsoft is available on all devices, and is an extended task calendar similar to Any.Do. You can also sync it onto any device using Microsoft and it has similar features to Any.Do
Penguin Isle
Most of the app I have offered so far have been apps to help you on productivity and work, but Penguin Isle is a really relaxing game where your goal is basically just to expand your penguin habitat. It has amazing graphics and satisfying music. It essentially never ends, so it is super fun to see your penguin’s igloos expand as you buy more stuff and earn coins.
I hope you have found these app suggestions helpful and try downloading them. There will be a part 2 later on (not in the next post) to elaborate on this topic. All of these are just my recommendations to be productive during these times. I hope everyone stays safe and healthy, remember, wash your hands and get out of bed!

To help you keep track of all your assignments, homework, projects, etc. Includes a progress bar that you can shade in according to how much of the assignment you’ve completed. You can also set a goal or expected score and compare it to your final score. I included fields for “date given” and “date due” so that you can prioritize and plan your tasks accordingly. I wanted to include a box to check when you’ve submitted the assignment because sometimes I complete the assignment but forget to submit it, or I’ve already submitted the assignment but panic because I thought I hadn’t done it yet. I couldn’t squeeze this into the sheet, but I think you could just put a tick beside the due date or something.

For subjects that require you to memorize formulas, like physics, economics, math, etc. The left column is for the formula, while the right is for variables and their units, e.g. “v = u + at” would go on the left, while the right column would have something like “v: final velocity/ms-1; u: initial velocity/ms-1; a: acceleration/ms-2; t: time/s”.

🥞 PANCAKES. I don’t know about you, but I feel like everyone has the ingredients to make pancakes. Pancakes make me feel happy because I haven’t had one in 5 years. All the memories. :(

How to Create an Effective Plan for the Quarantine💙
This post is mostly centered towards people like me in quarantine or self-isolating and have nothing better to do. (Probably everyone.) The quarantine shouldn’t be like a long study session or a period of time which you will regret not accomplishing anything later on. I have experimented with different techniques of to-do lists, scheduling, creating an agenda for recreational activities and found the perfect one to match my needs. But I have discovered over the months, how others may suit a different method for arranging their time, that works for them, or suits them better. I have created a quiz which will help you find your perfect schedule for organization. Keep in mind that this quiz will not define your personality or what you will stick to, it is simply to just find a way of organization that I recommend.
Q1: Which of learning/schooling do you prefer?
A. Going to lectures/classes and writing down notes
B. Going to class but learn by interacting with others and the teacher
C. Being set tasks to do and self learning.
D. Online classes to work more productively in one place
Q2: What platform do you usually take your final notes on (your notes that you study from. Not your notes where you just jot down stuff the teacher says)?
A. Taking notes on paper
B. Notes on paper, but going an extra mile to make them look aesthetic!
C. Taking notes digital but transferring some into a binder or notebook
D. Taking notes digitally on a laptop or tablet
Q3. What organization system do you usually prefer when listing your tasks?

A. I complete the assignment during the first week so I don’t have to worry about it. Between the time I have left and the due date, I also like to furnish it and make it better.

C. I usually work pretty fast and I have a creative mind so my ideas flow when I start working so I procrastinate until the last week but get it done with a good effort
D. I plan out my days split the assignment into small tasks to complete throughout the entire month

You like to work effectively and like seeing good results after putting so much hard work into them. You naturally have a good work ethic, but you still have time left over to spend time doing things you love with the people you love. You might have been okay with the quarantine at first, but it is quickly starting to affect you. Even though it has given you a handful of time, you struggle to use it. We have a lot in common, and what I love doing, is having an extended to-do list of everything you want to accomplish. It can be as simple as sorting out your sports bag, to completing an assignment or something passionate, like just to binge a TV show you’ve always wanted to watch! Use this time wisely, do things you’ve always wanted to do so you won’t regret it.❤️

You are absolutely love to learn, especially if it’s your favorite subject! You have a creative mind, and is always open-minded when introduced to something new. I have no doubt you already have a mental list of things you are going to accomplish during the quarantine already, most of which, are things you are passionate. Well I have 3 words for you. Go for it! Take this time to do things you love, but remember to balance it out with your priorities and finish what you started. Stay true to yourself, and yes, you might procrastinate a little a few times, and it’s totally normal! You deserve it! I would recommend starting a bullet journal, if you haven’t already, and express your artistic talent. If you are already keeping a bullet journal, good for you! Make a special page for what you are going to do during the quarantine, make it as wild as you can, and even though you probably won’t have done all the things by the end, you will have a beautiful page of your goals and experience to cherish later on. 🌹

You are just like me! You love learning new things, especially if you can do them by yourself! But if I’m correct, you are a also a MAJOR procrastinator! Don’t worry, I feel you! But you know that there is so much potential in you, and I bet you can release your power to 100% if sometimes tried a bit harder, do things earlier, instead of last minute. I would recommend using a schedule planner, with dates and weeks already inserted. This will make it a lot easier for you to manage your time! Write everything down, even consider starting a diary or a journal during the quarantine! That way you have a book full with memories by the time we’ve reached the end. But you have to remember one thing. No matter how easy a task seems to you, promise that you will always put in 100% at all times. You are a type of person that would have big dreams for the future, and you already seem like you are working hard towards those dreams! So keep going girl, and do your thing 😊

These are just the tip of the iceberg! Branch out, find a system or app that works for you and stay comfy! If there is one thing I would suggest doing, is giving yourself breaks. The quarantine should not feel a big, giant study session! Take time off, to do things with family. Don’t feel like you should be doing more work, because you’ve worked hard during term time, and you deserve a break! You will not regret your time during the quarantine, so make the most of it💙
