North Idaho Fair and Rodeo. Man, I loved this assignment. I admire the simple life of the cowboy. Shot on assignment for The Coeur d'Alene Press.

At the Cardboard Boat Regatta, teams of kids, some dressed in snazzy costumes, had one hour to construct a boat from cardboard and duct tape, and then race it around a buoy at Independence Point in Lake Coeur d'Alene. Only three of the seven boats made it to the finish line in one piece. 8.16.2014

Ornate, fully restored and custom-made wooden boats lined the Coeur d'Alene Resort Boardwalk for the annual wooden boat show. The whole time I was shooting, I was reminded of the Venetian water taxis I rode in Venice.
