There's a local legend that a crippled old man, born with deformed legs, made a long and strenuous journey to this little pond. He took a dip in the water and was able to walk unaided his remaining years. These days, though, local teenagers like to use the place as a hideaway for certain activities their parents necessarily don't need to know about. It's in a sort of place where a farang face is truly an alien sight. Somewhere between Ban Pong and Kanchanaburi city, much closer to the former and a good distance off the main highway.
